I think it's the new Lightning (or atleast the concept) that had a feature where the air-conditioning could be redirected into a chamber where it would then be released into the intake manifold when a button was pressed- sort of like a half-assed nitrous......A new project for anyone???

that would use more hp than it created. a lot of people have thought about this idea. some (on www.probetalk.com) have tried just to see. but it doesnt help. the ac doesnt supply what the intake demands.

Either that or MORE HORSEPOWER!!!! lol. I will try to reduce some of the weight when i race like the obvious stuff as in the speaker box, and get lighter rims with stickier tires. But all in all Besides going with carbon fiber stuff and getting aluminum heads and intake there is not much without spending alot of money i can really do. And i still do want this to stay a daily driver. So taking out all the seats and radical stuff like that is out of the question. I guess i will have to stay with just building it for alot of horsepower.

Yea, thats what i was thinking...
But apparently somebody made it work (it was definately some company, not an individual). I'll have to go through some of my past magazines to find the specifics.....

Reminds me of the weedwhacker Supercharger they have on ebay. Lol. It sure would have to be one high flow system to be able to keep up with a charger running 6 lbs of boost. I would think that the passengers would not enjoy too much 6 pounds worth of air getting blown at them when it is not in use. j/k. Man it would be able to cool the cab quicker though. Lol.

Nissan Frontier Type "R" Supersport. lol

So there i was pulling out of my parking lot of my apartments doing my usual burnout going right. Well i see this truck with SS on the back of it so i think yeah this guy might have something well as i get nearer i see it is a little niSSan frontier with all the letters except for the two s's painted the same color as the truck. But the s's were white. So he must have noticed me come up behind him because he took a left with me then pulled into the right lan once we got by ourselves. So i pullup beside him and gun it a little and let off real quick. just to give this guy a taste of what is to come. Well i guess that since he had a big a$$ "R" emblem on the side that he was fast or something. So he takes off flooring it and i wait for him to get about 3 or 4 lengths ahead of me and then i just openmine up and blow by him. then he tried it again. And i alsolutely murdered him again(really???? how hard could it be?) So you all know the typical ricer flyby that automatically make them the winner? Yeah yall know what i mean. Well this guy doesnt do it just just coasts by all calm and quiet like he never did anything and just wanted to mind his own business. Hehe i thought it was soo funny. He knew he got owned soooo bad. And the worst thing was that it looked like his GF was in the car with him. I usually leave ricers alone but this one had the S S so i thought i should remind him that it takes alot more to be in S S territory than what he had in his 4 banger frontier. lol.

OHH man. thats gonna suck. I've been looking at little pickups like the frontiers lately. something like a 2wd 5 spd extended cab late model. mostly lookin at rangers though. kinda wanna see if i can get a 2wd ranger with the 4.0sohc. i could only hope. peace.

Errr ummm you forgot the type "R" too. Guy had at least 800 horsepower between the SS, the R emblems and the gaudy yellow window tint. Yeah that is right he had YELLOW window tint looked like a pair of shooting glasses. lol.

The new Lightning will have a device called a "Supercooler" which will store up air and cool it down, then release it at certain intervals when you are at WOT most likely to get you a nice horsepower boost. Pretty cool idea

I beleive that the super cooler feature is selective, meaning that the driver hits a button to activate it, then a green light will indicate when the super cooler is ready, then will realease at WOT. Thats what i remember hearing a while ago.

thats so freakin cool. i would give just about anything to have a lightening. besides being uber fast, i think that they make the f150 look alot better than they already do.

I spanked a corolla tonight. He had a full car lenth head start too! First i blew him away in a battle of music power, then the other light ( not ours) changed, and he started rollin. I waited til the green then blew his doors off. My X has a 5spd and 3.27s, no limited slip and bald tires!

A buddy of mine toyed with a camaro. He reved his X up at a red light, and the camaro did the same. At the green the camaro took off, and my friend put on his right signal and turned at normal acceleration onto the other street. Fun times.

Niether of us can touch the 850 hp of my other friend's stang. Thats one fast car, runnin high 10s I think, on a stock suspention.

Well, I've never seen a ricer Cavalier. Now I have.

Bright blue with more plastic body work than Michael Jackson. A wing about 5 feet tall that looked like it weighed down the rear more than anything. He pulls up next to me and starts revving his 4banger with cherry bomb muffler. The guy is shrugging his shoulders like I have no chance and starts laughing. My wife, who usually yells at me for stuff like this, tells me to go for it. She knows nothing about cars but even she knows this is a joke. The light changes, I get up to 60mph, look back, and the dude is waaaaaaaaaaay behind. My turn was coming up so as I'm turning, he goes by and "guns" his engine "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!", you know how the cherry bombs sound.

What a joke.

yea i've seen the ricer cavaliers before around my house. actually there are alot of them. And its sad to say that my friend drives one of them. but he plans on changing that sometime soon by backing up his cav with a turbo. hes got most of the parts, just waiting for the new manifolds. i dont think it will be too bad after he does that, but until then they are still a joke to everyone. peace
