Let's see, what can I powdercoat today?

You do know what you are doing, and that is special. We finally got our 2nd day above 50 today, tomorrow should again. I'll be outside quite a bit, and I'll get my other mirror pulled apart.

Do you think the mirror can be coated as one piece or a couple of assemblies? As I mentioned each has four hard parts, besides the glass and wiring. There seem to be two kinds of material, a pot metal and the plastic pieces. If the plastic may warp it could be fine to put them on the main shell, which would hold it in shape better. I'll get a good picture in the morning to you. Regards,

Back when I was having wire harness issues, Ped5stang sent me a whole harness out of the blue, and this which was also blue--

now it looks better. This is the repayment for the harness and kindness.

Is that smoked chrome, or something equally sexy? :D

It is a slightly lighter and more reflective color called "black chrome" from the same powder supplier.

There are so many "smoked chrome" and " black chrome" variants. It gets confusing, as I for one would expect black chrome to be darker than smoked chrome. It isn't.

Then there is "black chrome 2" which is a tinted clear for darkening "real chrome" , and there are several variants of this also.

Phew.

Sorry to ask this, however I did not want to have to look over 50 pages of replies. Are you able to powder coat other materials other than metal?

Thank you.

Only if it will not melt at 400 degrees. :D
Glass and wood are safe, plastics are very iffy.

As always, incredibly lovely. Keep the pics coming, getting Turdle Powedercoat withdrawal! Nice Work!!!

They look great Jon.

awesome work man. Just curious, do you get your powder online or locally? I cant for the life of me figure out where to get the power.

I want those valve covers!...Where do I find a set?

Ryan

Sir,
I need the intake, valve covers, and rear tire rack from my fullsize bronco powdercoated. PM me a price ;)

My parts look good Jon!!

I woulda sent you my valve covers to do too, but just didn't feel like going to the hassle of getting them out. They still look pretty good though. On the Mach, you have to remove the hydroboost and pull the master cylinder to the side to get the driver's side off...

Sa weet!
