So what will the weather be like out there? I'm thinking about going out, but there is another run a couple weeks later that may have cooler weather! I'm looking for some nice summer temps to get away from the oven out here.

Rick, It will probably be warm like around the mid 90's, that might seem cool to you since your in the high 100. Also had some T-Storms the last couple of days which could also be a factor. The camp grounds are at 3,000 ft. and the off-roading can be anywhere from 3,000- 6,000 ft. Anyway you look at it, its that time of the year and its warm to hot.

The temp should be pretty nice out there. It also depends on what trails we end up running. If we stay up high in all the trees it should be pretty nice. If we drop down and run the lower trails we will be in the brush and it will be warmer cause of the direct sun light. eather way it will be alot nicer then spending the weekend in Pheonix.

I am still getting ready for the run. Hopefully have the winch on by tommorow and rear bumper and nerf bars by this trip.

Matt

I'm IN!

The monster is almost done (it's driveable, needs a few minor tweaks!)

OH yea!

Where the pics at Tom????

you are to kind my friend. Looks very awesome. Sorry about posting. After i searched the board, i went into conversions and then saw your pics.

Hey Matt, since you live so close, what do you think about driving over and verifying that the place IS still open?

Bill, I called them last week to make sure that they were still open and yes they were up until Oct. The day use fee went up to $15.00.

I don't know when I will be able to get over there. I am going to be out of town all the rest of the weekends between now and the time of this run.

Paul, What is the number that you called for info. Id like to get more info for camping costs and etc.

Matt

Okay, two weeks away, time to bump up the thread and see who all is gonna be there.

Yes.

I haven't decided what time yet to head out of the bay area - thursday night, stop around grape vine, come in late friday afternoon, or friday morning, be there late friday night.

I also will be leaving around noon sunday - should get me home by midnight.

I'll stop and get some bundles of firewood too.

Ok here is who I have going so far

RockRanger
RangerX
tdavis
bullrdr
Jefe
MudRanger (i know he broke from another board so I am not sure if her will make it)
Shipwreck (maybe)
Rick (maybe)

I stoped by the reservation today. They are staying open through atleast october. The new pay scale is as follows

Day use: $15
Dayuse with Tow $20
camping $20
towing and camping $25

They also said there may be some type of brake on the prices if we can get atleast 6 people to go. Something like knocking $5 off. She said it usually applys if everyone is towing but may be able to work somethig out. I also said we would be coming in at different times and we could possibly have a name at the counter when you pay and get the discount then.

Cant wait to go wheeling. Also I got a winch now on my truck so hopefully bill will try to drive off a cliff and I can try ot out :D

I will come out Saturday morning. See everyone out there

Matt
