I bought this car as my first ride when I was 15... worked all summer to pay for it. I've replaced a ton on the car... including the engine. Just a few pics since I couldn't post any pics of my Explorer (I haven't got one yet...)
It looks pretty nice! I don't see a license plate in the picture, so I guess you don't use it anymore? How many miles does it have? Where do you get parts for it?

The body has 125k miles on it. It gets terrible gas mileage and I don't want to drive it around campus so I leave it at my father's house. I have left it there ever since I went to college so its been about 5 years now. I'm so ready to get a place where I can bring it back home and wrench on it some more.
The car has too much to list... but I'm trying to keep it "non hot rod" looking. I don't want a hood scoop and don't care about having outrageous power... which is the reason we switched to carb instead of fuel injection on the engine we got and chose NOT to bore it out.
I need to find a passenger door shell if anybody knows where I can find one. I've seen a few rollers setting around but nobody wants to part. The only place I see these cars are at the track so its getting tough to find one in great condition.
Looks good, my grandma used to have a 78 that looked a lot like that but it was a dark blue. We sold it to one of my cousins a few years ago. Body was in great shape, but the rear frame rail was pretty rusty, it only had about 38k on it.
Nice! My grandma had a '79 Malibu. She sold it in the '90s when she was 88 years old. The car only had 20,000 miles on it. I used to drive it whenever I visited her to "blow the carbon out".
