My 97 ex: LETS GO!

It'll be a huge difference. Both in brightness and in price. Id say go to Rigid Industries website and check out all the specs. That link that you clicked on isnt where I got them from, it's just an advertisement.

Ohh oki might just get hella lights. Instead

ohhhhh s**t...lol i think i might lay off on the lights. maybe just get some fogs. i need money, and can't put much more into the truck. I'm trying to find something cheap ya know.

I completely understand! For cost you could do halogens though. Did you look at those lights Brent posted in my registry? They're cheaper LEDs.

All the extra lights I put on the Ex were 20$ Walmart specials. Not exactly high end Hella's but they looked good and threw enough light to make it down Smith Point in the dark and fog. Keep an eye on the local Craigslist. I picked up a Dick Cepek(sp?) light bar with some pretty beefy baja lights for cheap.

Well I did just find clear euro lenses for $60! And I'm looking for em. And I had someone tell me Walmart as well.

just bought some clear euro lenses for $60. got a free clear tail light as well. only the passenger side. will be posting pics soon.

How is the light on the new clear lens? Where did you get them and how much did they cost?

Although my hids are messed up. It does enhance the brightness. And I got em for $65 off Craigslist. But they are usually around $120 or so.

Installed new. DDM 10,000k hids. Il post a pic later.

I have a couple questions actually.... I got a Tuff Stuff 22inch LED light bar, and two 6 inch round LED flood lights. ordered them for christmas....I was just wondering where i should mount these lights. Particularly the LED bar. I was thinking the roof....But it is a flood/spot combo, and i feel there will be a lot of wasted light. Also the wiring for LED's is white and black correct?

HID's....I have already bought two different kits....first one was Hipropower HID's.Then i recently bought DDM Tunings kit. I like it, but my girlfriends brother has the same ones, yet his are 10x brighter than mine....Any specific reason for that? It kind of annoys me and makes me think i put them in wrong. He also has a Dodge Durango.

Finally i do a lot of night fishing and i drive on my local beaches at night....Therefore i need the light.(Long range light at that) I was looking at Hella, KC, and finally Lightforce. I know KC is most affordable, but are they the best? I have been really looking into Lightforce. I think they are a great product....Thoughts?

The bar might be able to fit behind the grille. If you were to put it on the roof I think the spot pattern part would shine ahead while the flood part could shine all around but I feel like 22" might look really small up on the roof. As for the floods you could make or have some brackets made that would allow you to mount them on that little triangular metal piece in between the wiper cowl and the hood kinda like jeeps.

As for the HIDs are his also 10000K? If they're a lower temperature they'll be brighter. If they're the same maybe he has heavier gauge wire running to them or the power comes directly from the battery.

My KCs I have mounted on my brush guard impress anyone that sees them with how bright they are. My guard is a little bouncy as well because of my BL and no way to really reinforce the brackets but the lights hold up well. I've used them for a couple straight hours of run time too without problems. Overall I like them. I can't say how they match up against the other brands though.

Well. I tested out the light...holy #### its bright. I am ecstatic :D I just don't know where I can fit it. Being 22inch like ya said may be too small for the roof. And there's nowhere on the front. Accept maybe the bumper. And I love your idea for the floods. I just wonder how I would do that.

what about behind the grille?

Won't the stock grille block a lot of the light. Unless I could maybe make adjustments. Like cutting it. But I was thinking of behind the license plate there is a rectangular section I could possibly fit it. Still deciding. That is the hard part. Easy to wire.

If it puts out as much light as you say, I don't think youll notice any loss in performance. And behind the grille would make it pretty hard to steal. Wire up the light, open the hood and set it on top of the grille, observe the output, then hold it behind the grille and see if theres a difference.

If the grille does affect it, then yeah mount it behind the license plate and relocate the plate to the a bottom corner of the bumper

Good idea. Il most definitely do that. And see.

Since its a light bar that cross bar with the ford emblem shouldnt block your light.

So mount it at the bottom of the grille maybe? if theres less light I might cut some if the grille out.
