Night Vision?

Stephen,
I do agree with you that Lexus makes great cars. My parents had twin SC300s and my mom now has a 1997 LS400. Whenever I get in her car it feels new, even at almost 4 years old. Of course, a lot of it has to do with maintenance. I'm sure you take phenominal care of your cars, as do we. Once a month my mom goes out with leather cleaner and does the entire interior. She gets the service performed at Lexus within 200 miles of the maintenance schedule. We really pamper our cars. So that has a lot to do with it. I've been in some Lexuses that are less than 2 years old and they're already trashed out: rattling, noisy, dirty, cluttered......I can safely say my Explorer is not as meticulously built as the Lexus. However, people still get in my car and can't believe it's a 96. Like mother like son!

Alec, My son takes great care of our cars. You'd never guess our Explorer is a 97 with almost 90,000 miles, they all look brand new. I've always had the scheduled maintenance done, but I have on past cars as well. Nothing has felt this new at this many miles, not Cadillac, Lincoln, Chrysler name it. I have customers with BMWs and mercedes who's cars rattle and wear a lot worse than mine. Thats what worries me a little about getting an S500.

Gimp, Oh I'm the same way sometimes lol. Thing is, my car is leased and the lease is up in July. I could buy it for $38,000 (lease end is about $41,000, original MSRP was just short of $64K) or lease a new car. Buying out a lease winds up to be more expensive, plus my car is really a business thing. I use the lease as a tax writeoff, and I use it to haul customers around. So, its kind of a delemma.
