Got a little done today, its a swamp out here from all the snow melting. Found out Dave has spacers...

I'm not a coffee drinker, but it makes a great nut n bolt bin...

Here's a trick for those stubborn E brake cable triple sided retaining clips. Use a boxed end 13mm wrench, it allows you to slide the cable right out...

And the axle is out...

Also got some parts in from rock auto today...

Not much, but its progress...

Good job, nice tip with the e-brake cable to.

I have the spacers on for my other tires, 285/75/16 Coopers Discoverer STT's. Without the spacers they would rub the rear inner wheel wells. Looking forward to having rear discs.

Nice progress, I believe with the ABS module you can switch out the black box (brain) attached to the pump without having to remove the brake lines from the ABS module and go through bleeding it also. I know of 1 person who has done that with the V8 swap, and it worked for him.

Loaded the white ST with the bad engine tonite. Picture is a little blurry because it was getting dark. Will be heading to Ricks to drop this one off and pick up the donor. I have the front bumper and headlights off to make it one less thing to worry about during the engine swap. Plus I didn't get the front lower painted yet. I think it looks a lot better with the semi gloss black on the sides and rear. The two trucks look like big brother/little brother.

Very cool guys, you know I love seeing these projects. I missed the past six months on the forum, but I've got my PC etc, back working again.

BTW, have you planned anything for the 4WD control besides the GEM/4WD/TAD modules and stock switch? I've finally got my garage cleaned and use it now, I hope to begin my stuff soon.

I have a weak fuel pump right now, and I need an output line from the pump to the filter(mine is twisted(fragile)). Is that donor gone yet, I could use that one line?

I'm going to finally cut and merge my old 93 tank(plastic 22 gallon), with the extra 99 steel 17 gallon tank I got. I want the bigger tank with the BW4406 TOD unit, so we'll see if the top sections can be swapped. Regards,

Don, pm Dave as he has the donor now, the fuel lines are still on the ex...

SVT

Will do, and I hope you guys are enjoying this almost Spring weather. Today the rain is a downer, but it is warmer, which is great.:)

Don I will be back in Kingston on Tuesday night. You are welcome to come get what you want or need. I am planning on pulling the fuel tank skid plate off. I will be taking the donor back to the junkyard saturday morning.

Gotcha.

I'll be working on my Mark VII today and tomorrow to see if a shift kit will fix the trans. I haven't driven it since it slipped one day just before the cold hit in November. I put it in my "clean" garage yesterday. I need the spare car in case the Mountaineer fuel pump does go out.

Hit a favorite junkyard in Evansville couple days ago for the 99-01 explorer 5.0 ECU, harness, & fuel rails. They had only one explorer that was a 99 and 5.0, but it was missing the motor, ECU, harness & rails. Tomorrow I'm going to hit a local yard to check their inventory...

Just hit my local yard, got a 99 ecu, engine & trans harness, fuel rails and injectors. Had to get the injectors cause in 99 ford switched from EV1 style injectors to EV6 style. I also got the cam syncronizer & cps with the harness. One step closer...

The weather has been up and down here also. I take it you are gonna eliminate Pats in the tune then?

Plans are to go back and get the pats module from the ex I got the harness from at the junkyard. I'm not sure how much mods Dave plans on, but if he plans to get a tuner, then I'll just delete it in a tune...

SVT

I don't think I've ever seen the PATS module, how much is there to it to add the system?

I'm planning to use the 97 PCM if I can find it, and not deal with the PATS. But if the 98 PCM is a better system(many wires and functions by the diagrams changed), I'd use a spare 98 PCM I already have. I'd already be rewiring the whole car, and it has keyless entry, and a Marauder steering column. I don't want to get into the special ABS signals though, the diff VSS, or inertia switch.
