2014 XLT- power tailgate will work from the dash button and from the button on the tailgate itself. Up until this week, it also worked from the key fob remote.

I changed the battery in the fob, and the doors will lock and unlock and the panic button works as well, but the liftgate will not.

Any suggestions on what to check for next? Thanks in advance!

Was the keyfob battery replaced because of the liftgate issue?

Ok, so that liftgate issue already existed. That is what I was trying to find out. I'm guessing that the liftgate doesn't unlock either when you use the fob. Do you hear it unlocking?

No, there is no noise when using the fob button.

I should have asked this earlier, but have you tried the 2nd key fob? It seems that for some reason, the lock actuator isn't getting the signal to release.
Have you added any items that are plugged into the power outlets that were not there before when it worked?
