Now I need someplace to store them for a couple of weeks. Anyone have some space for me to borrow, as my storage units (ie the back of both my trucks) are full.

Might be able to do something at my house. You will have to unload everything by yourself though. I am in Chicago till July 3rd and then back here on july 6th. Let me know what you have yopu need to store.

They work pretty well - cauz the ring/pinion gear effectively multiplies its holding torque by whatever the gear ratio is.

It also can run VERY hot, due to that multiplication factor.

Which calipers?

The big problem with the pinion type brakes is bent rotors, and stuck or dragging calipers..

I have a toyota kit I need to sell, which has the rotor/caliper..

I'm using front calipers and disks from a '87 GMC V2500 4x4.

I've seen some caddy kits, but the brackets I have from Ballistic Fab are for '78-87 GMC 3/4 ton fronts.

There are a few of those. I put it on my 9" before i sold it. Worked out pretty well too for a retro fit.

If you don't do the tcase brake, are you going to try linelocks?

I know from personal experience, no parking brake SUCKS..

On a manual transmission, the no parking brake thing would suck, but for us slush boxers, the parking pawl works pretty good. I used the manual line lock from Summit Racing so as not to kill my battery for extended parking, but I rarely use it unless I am on a steep hill or something.
