I'm hovering around $6000 counting the lift, so far. Night,

this thing is gonna be awsome

Any new updates? I'm still gonna bug you about the taillights too :p

I did get the welding done, I'll be cleaning up those areas today I expect. I've been out of town for a couple of days, and I'm going to MA to help a friend pick up one of two parts Jaguars. I'll post some pictures again soon, including more work on the taillights. Regards,

I'm considering trying to put a 2nd gen long console in mine since the short ones suck. I know the second gens and sport tracs came with both. What are the differeces between the brackets and how they meet with the dash? thanks
edit: Where is mass is the jag?

I don't recall the location there, my friend went before, and it was about 1900 round trip.

The console mounts should be the same on the floor, check out the picture below of my 98. The dash should be the same, just that the dash ashtray is removed. The air vents at the firewall will be a little different.

What color is your interior, I still need to find a dark gray dash ashtray, and the floor vents? Regards,

I have the tan eddie leather, and are you talking about the small floor vents under the console in the rear? Is so to my knowledge they are all black. So in my 93 the mounts on the floor should work with the long console and It would meet up with the dash it I take the ashtray out?

Pics....any more pics on the progress?????????

I have just returned from Massuchusetts with a friend and an 87 V12 Jaguar, 902 miles in 14.5 hours each way.

FYI, the under console vent tube is part of the long consoles, and the connection at the firewall is probably not identical for 91-94 Explorers. I have both, and the shorter 91-94 consoles do have vent tubes that run under the rug to the console. I will not be using any factory console parts, or tubes, in my 93/99 work vehicle. I decided to build something which would do better for my work.

I'll be grinding/finishing the welds in the next few days, sealing with metal epoxy something, body sealer, etc. If I can get some free time also, I hope to start finish painting the whole front clip, and front end parts.

That must have been fun...really driving a V-12 Jag in comparison with the Explorer 4.0

Just my weekly bug you post about the taillights :D

I've done quite some work on various vehicles, built a few trucks but something like this... man, I envy you. I'm about to start work on turning my 03 Mounty into an Aviator... much less work, I know. You are really nuts... ;)

so whats the latest on the truck?

Tomorrow I have the day off. I plan to finish the welding finish work, rust prevention, etc. Then to spray those areas with a metal epoxy prep, then paint the whole front clip. After that and front parts body work, the rest is basic assembly.

Body work isn't my thing, but I have helped, watched, done what I feel comfortable with, etc. I have still a bunch of wiring to do, fitting 98 panels to the 93 doors, etc.

I'll get to the tail lights also soon. The priority has always been to do anything that I can't do first, when I can line up help or guidance. With nice weather tomorrow, and alone, I'll have a good five hours to work at least. Clean up of snow, snow tires, yard work, will keep me busy. Night,

well it has been a while sinse you updated us....so what is the latest?

Your Thread has inspired me. Though I am putting a v-8 in mine and keeping the 92 Frame. and a SAS on this one.

I am going to Splice the Two trucks together at the fire wall spot welds, and then in the into the rocker panels about the same area as you.
