Ronin's Rig

good plan, ive been thinking the same. my train horn one wont cut it tho.
advise, compressor is noisey(atleast mine is). i dont like it inside turned on. best options ive thought of it the cubby in the back, seal it off and hide it inside there and add a crapload of sound deadener

35" x 12.5" Fill Rate
15 to 30 PSI 3 Min. 25 Sec
maybe get a 2nd compressor for the tank? i think that would speed it up

Yeah I was thinking of mounting both the compressor and tank it in the hidden compartment that is under the floor of the main cargo area. Only issue might be air circulation but I could always open it up when using it but that kind of defeats the purpose of keeping it quiet

Other option would be to mount both compressor and tank on the frame rails under the truck.

i thought of that too, but opted not to cause of corrosion of slamming down onto something and busting it. if you could add some kind of skid plate itd be better.
it may not be so bad to mount it inside in the open, since its only when youre outside filling tires. just make sure its not in the way incase you need room.
i do suggest train horns to be hooked up to the tank tho :)

yeah after seeing that some people put it in their engine bay which is hot as hell I think the interior mounting location will be fine.

I'm going to also run two main lines with quick disconnects to the front and rear bumper.

Air horns lol, maybe I should get the Dukes of Hazzard one so I can play Dixie lol, or even better, one that plays the Marine Corps hymn.

Jeez mate, they look bloody nice! Reckon I'll be getting a nice surprise in the post over the next couple of week's then:D:thumbsup:

Congratulations James, those arms look awesome

Can't wait for mine to be shipped.

and regarding the air compressor, I'm using ARB portable air compressor #CKMP12

and I'm really happy with it. also I tried Ironman FlowMax and it is very impressive

thanks for the recommendation Allaa'.

I found a pretty good deal on the Viair 20001 on board air system so I went for it.

This afternoon I got one of my BTF arms installed. It fits perfectly

Like Brandon said there doesn't appear to be any easy way to remove the bushings from the factory arms to get that crossbar out. So I had to cut the arm in half right next to the balljoint, then the two halves slid right off the cross shaft.

I'll take pics and report on how they do when flexed out all the way.

BTF arms installed  Wasn't too bad of a job since this is now the 4th time I've taken apart my front suspension so most of the rust was busted loose....except for the bolts holding on the stock control arms to the mounts...those things took some patience and sweat.

I'll post some pics up later but the arms are working out great so far! I have about 1/2-3/4" more down travel than before. The spindle no longer hits the spring coils but is close to them at full droop. As Brandon said the bottom edge of the uniball cup just touches the coil right when the suspension is fully drooped out but it shouldn't grind or get bound up in the springs like the spindle would before.

Now I need to get the alignment checked...the toe is probably off a bit.

Can't wait to see the pics!

X2 on the installed pic's mate!!!:D:thumbsup:

nice upgrade...wish i could get some upgrades like this for my lowered ex...i guess i have to change my mind and lift it lol:D

Pics!

Lol I was waiting for it to get below 110 degrees in my garage.

Here we go:

Wheel on level surface:

Shot of spindle on level surface:

Wheel completely off the ground, full droop:

Shot of spindle at full droop. As you can see the spindle is close to, but not touching the coil spring. The uniball cup does touch the coil spring but not in a way that looks like it will cut into or bind up in the spring:

Very happy with the result...thanks Brandon@BTF Fab!!!

Great pic's mate, thank's for putting them up. Gives an excellent idea of what to expect!!!!
