- 2007 Explorer
Hi I'm Jennifer and I am the only owner of my 2007 Ford Explorer.
It's my fourth Explorer and the only one I purchased after a lease.
The last two years I've replaced quite a bit yet it still has original motor and transmission.
I know I'm living on borrowed time with the trans because it clunks heavily when I shift into reverse and has been for a good year or so. Although, there is still no slipping with the gears (thank god and knock on wood).
Oh it has just about 100,000 miles. oh and V6
So, in the last couple of months its been shaking when idol and when it hits 60mph.
I did take it to my mechanic, who got it running well and the check engine light went off for the first time in ages.
About a week into running smoothly it slowly started doing this again. He told me that the light will most likely come back on and to bring it back when that happens.
I had been googling this issue when I came across your forum (which I've read a time or two before).
I figured it was time to join and post.
Any help I can get will be very much appreciated.
Jen
