System contains STOP LEAK

2004 Explorer 4.0 Bauer Edition stop leak has been used. QUESTION: If contemplating repairing system properly what components should be replaced? Has anyone on the forum been thru this? System will hold refrigerant charge for a couple of days. Thoughts?

Have you tried a sniffer or dye to locate the leak? You can't really flush modern condensers so if you are replacing the compressor then you generally should be doing the dryer and condenser and orifice tube. If your compressor is working good I would track down the leak and replace the o-ring or whatever is the source. Put a vacuum on the system (you can rent from oreillys) and fill to spec. AC work is easier than most think.
