Tbars Project "X" begins

in reference to #2 i think it just access port to service the lock mechanism without removing the whole panel...but don't quote me on that.

on #1 that the first time i have heard of that.

the only thing i can think of for opening the rear hatch from inside would be to a keyless entry system and rig it to work with the latch :dunno:

since you have your 91 home, jump in, lock all the doors and try to exit any rear one...if i don't hear back from you shortly i'll know yours is just like mine...:D

LOL :D:D uh huh I am going to try it this afternoon when I go to my buddy's house where I have the Explorer at right now to do the work on it. And see what happens.

i was waiting to ask you froader...in fact, i'm needing to park mine next to yours to look at a few things....btw, mine had no door pulls when i picked it up but it did have skull pulls when i bought it...i will be upgrading the rears now...thanks :D

I'm going to guess you're will be about ~3" higher than mine. Maybe 4" in the rear since I got that bumper and haven't done anything to level it out yet.

Maybe one day next week we can meet up if you want.

lol, i'm not trying to size it up against yours...i need to fix the steering and then i want to let you drive it since yours is similar...see what you think...also, i want to look at how some of your stuff is mounted as in stock items...even though mine is not an eddie...i actually took mine on the freeway last night for the first time...it likes to run 70 and it had no problem in 91 rush hour traffic heading towards riverside....:D

the things i wanted to look at small things that might have been moved in my truck...the steering i just want to fix before you test drive her so she's at her best. :)..she's not that bad offroad on washboard roads, i was surprised, she's pretty stiff around town...i've got to get my f250 sold cause i am going to be needing new tires pretty soon though....:(

i was just up in chino hills actually, how far off the 71 is that park?

it's at soquel canyon road??spelling???get off the 71 and head up the hill past the first light and shopping center, the second light take a left and turn with the dogleg and you will clearly see the hidden entrance on the right...

oh ok, yea i think that a meet and greet would be a good idea, toss it around a bit and see who would want to go.

i'll chat with you on that thread, ok???lol

not to much exciting on the X...my locker only shipped from new york yesterday and started moving at 2 am today...love the ups tracking...I've managed to put 300 miles on the X while rotating my trucks around and i did get some autolite platinum plugs since they are on sale at kragens this weekend and i put them in...the ones i took out were standard autolites and they look brand new and i'm sure they were...everyone of them so woohoo, no bad signs with the motor so far...
i found a nice crack in my muffler so my muffler guy is going to have a project when i get ahead on some other items...

bad news today...i left my X parked inside my shop and it dripped anti freeze from the passenger side rear of the engine...i did a quick look at the heater hoses and nothing...i am just hoping i bumped a hose somewhere when i changed the plugs and it's not a gasket leak...:(

My rear doors did the same thing on my 91. When I pulled them apart, the child lock slider was wore smooth out on both sides. Therefore you couldn't exit from the inside via the interior door handles. They were stuck in child lock. I hope this helps, Bailey.

so beetle, did you fix yours???

Morning:D did the coolant leak reappear last night? hope not!
