I can honestly say that I have never seen a woman tow truck driver before.

So what this AAA or did you just pay to have it towed?

she had a really cute face and i'm waiting on seeing it again soo since i beat her back to my shop....yep, it's AAA...i went out to elsinore looking for mechanics and i decided before i had it towed to one i would double check to see if my upgrade showed up on the computer...it did , so i had them tow it to my shop....i'm just itching to beat all to start wrenching on her...the truck too, lol...

truck made it home...woohoo...i'm pulling the battery and going to charge it....my mechanic did the quick lookover and since he has 4x4's, he wants my suspension, lol...everyone else is looking inside and crawling around underneath going, and ooo, you've got this and they put in that...
sorry, i'm just a overgrown kid with my new toy...

and so is the vip treatment from the tow company... i must say she can run circles around most guy tow drivers i ever seen...with this kind of service i am really thinking about switching up to the platinum service ::

i'm a bad boy, i know it....i couldn't resist...i'm playing hookie and i'm never put customers off...but i know you guys will understand...the truck is getting moved into the shop tonight and the mechanic will also start on the donor motor then too...i had a guy driving by the shop and i heard brakes screach and someone back up....he was in his stock 4x2 91 xlt that he is restoring to mint and just had to check the truck out...turns out he's replacing some interior parts i need so now i gained a new friend....i took some comparison shots of my X and his....the top of my front bumper is the height of the top of his hood...

IT"S ALIVE!!!!!
i cleaned it up today while the battery was charging...i was going to roll it into the shop but the mechanic never showed up so i decided i would try and start it and see how much clanking i heard...it's running and idles perfect and smoked for a while like if i had seafoamed it...woohoo..
but wait, i have some clanking internally and it's dull but it sounds like the tranny...i tried to put it in any and all gears and nothing...any trany specialist get ahold of me please...fluid is good and it don't even hint of going in gear...there is a tube coming down on the drivers side straight down with nothing attached...i'm hoping its a vacuum line...i need your help...

it sure is...darn now i don't know whats up with the tranny...i have never ever drove an X and have no idea where to start...i thought maybe if i had it in park, locked the hubs and pushed the 4x4 switch and even tried the low switch...i'm also wondering if there are tranny relays...or if something is broke between the motor and tranny...i have never had a vehicle not at least try to go into gear...after letting it run for a good 20 minutes it finally changed rpm putting it into gear but still nothing

it's official....i have a tranny problem and i don't know the extent of it yet...i pulled the pan and the fluid smells burnt and theres alot of fine grit in the filter...enough to clog it...could that be all that is wrong??? stay tuned...btw, i will have a 4.0 motor for sale....

i think i would have better luck if i could find a guy whose truck got wrecked and wanted to get rid of a tranny really cheap....

Not bad, love the Billet grille, no motor huh?.....Leaves you Real open to what you would 'want' to power it with then, don't it?.....put in a small diesel, huh?......would help at the fuel pump .......or look into the scrapyards for whatever your lit'l heart desires......hahahaha..........just go engine & tranny & you could power it with any combination.......{as long as it's FORD, that is} ..........6.0 diesel would be nice......
