You can get away with 2.0 coilovers for sure. I highly doubt you will fade them since you dont do much high speed stuff at all. You will be shocked the difference a well valved set of coilovers will do for you on and off the street.
Well FOA is getting huge in the rock crawler community now. Over 80% of what they sell is to them. Thier shocks arent all blinged out like fox's or kings but they are good. And the price is great. Although your still looking at about $700-800 for brand new shocks with coils....
I have seen one other Ex with the chrome strip under the lights. It was sitting in the junkyard last week. I think it's an aftermarket part. If it's still there I'll snag it and put it on mine lol.
The lights look killer too. Gives a nice modern updated look.
If they are the ones I think they are (which they look exactly like them) They are from LMC Truck and the kits for the beams and running lights come to about $400 all together. Too bad the running lights don't have the cool euro bulbs that are amber when on and chrome colored when they're off.
...I will need to find a better, stronger grill first...Mine is kind of flimsy now..
....Now that I've replaced all the missing screws for my light's, diagonal fender supports, fenders, and existing grill, I am probably going to loose a lot of front end flex that I had...
...I have been on a long time search for interior door pulls for the X...Thanks to MountaineerGreen for shipping me out some..
...While I was at the JY I found that X that had the great seats in it that I didn't grab...It also had great door panels so i did snag those...
...My panels were barely hanging together, missing screws, cracked all to , missing their carpet, and just plain flapping and the previous owner broke out the lenses and bulb holders...(the old ones shown are the good ones)
...These panels were the inspiration to take the time to also add a few of the goodies I had gotten from Donner probably a year back...Thank You Donner..
...For the fronts, some Pioneer 240 watt 3 ways...
...And for the rears, some Pioneer 280 watt 4 ways...
nice, looks 100% better...I just got done installing Pioneer 3ways on all 4 doors in mine...sounds alot better. just curious, was the original color of your truck grey?
...My sound system is BOOMIN now and if you think the 3ways put out some bass, I was really surprised with the 4 ways...I stiil have 2 amps to put in that I had gotten from Donner..
...My X's original color was RC Medium Platinum and it had this fancy pinstriping (like 7 stripes) before I got a hold of it...The striping had been clear coated over and then pulled off...I guess you can say it was a flakey clear coat looking grey(with Izwacks favorite Red, Eddie Bauer fenders)...
...Now, it's just rattle canned except for the hood and the cowl...The hood is now shedding it's clear coat...
the pioneer 4ways sound prettttttttttty nice. i had them in my old explorer and it sounded really good. i switched them into the navajo and they don't sound as good. i don't know whats up with them but i know they're good
I double checked with www.sylvania.com but I was pretty sure they were 194 since thats what I have sitting in the glove box (3157 and 194).
The books at the stored have been getting worse.. Last week they had the wrong headlight bulbs listed for a 2002 xterra (brothers truck).. good thing we tried to replace the bulbs while still in the parking lot of the store.
