Not really doing anything to the truck I'm bringing-up, since it is staging pretty much stock for the moment. Although I think I heard Kris say that in payment for volunteering for the tranny job, he was giving me the jpx to take home...I'm pretty sure that's what he said :)

I wish I could get a couple things fixed the only thing I really need is my back hatch or glass wont open and I want to get the hood redone cause it's alittle faded. Oh well.

Three weeks to go!!!

We be getting there!

Is there anyone who is planning to attend that has not been listed?

I know I'm excited! And somehow I agreed to a drag race with Kris so that should be interesting, lol

Hey 59Ford, what are the specs are your fastest ride? I see v8 small block in your avatar, is it a 302 or did you go 347?

mrq, that's actually a bone stock 4.0 ohv v6 for my 92 explorer. Its justs painted really nice. :-) but thank you for thinking it was fast lol

Oh man I feel stupid. I thought for sure it was a V8. Oh well, it looks really good. The V6 unfortunately wasn't made for speed , but it does have that wonderful 245 ft-lb grunt in the low end to make up for it. :D

The Cul de sac is small so it wont be much of a race, since I have 4.10 in my v-8 I do not this Russell has a chance... sorry bro.

Alright, I finally fixed my seat. I was going to do this long, well detailed, write up on how I used flat iron to fix my driver seat. However, the first time I hope in the truck for a drive to downtown Fort Worth the bolts busted and the seat went back. After this a saying came to mind, "Sometimes you just need to shoot the engineer and finish the job". That is just what I did yesterday. I swung by the local Ford junk yard and picked up a seat from a poor 03' sport. I know have a fully functioning seat and should have no problems heading South in a few weeks.

It would still be fun to see a race in a cul-de-sac. Might be a very short race but fun to watch!

Great to hear you got your seat fixed, Armadillo, (well, replaced). Found out the hard way several times that it is better to replace the orginal items in a piece of equipment.

On a side note, it might be best to bring camping chairs for the meet in Austin. Anything you can think of to bring to make the meet go smoother, please post your ideas. (umm, the image of an exotic dancer starting off in coveralls just popped up in my head)

Yeah bring your own lawn chair might help. I do have chairs but not sure if I will have enough.

Huh, I wonder if I need to make the cobbler before I come? However, it doesn't taste as good when its cold or reheated. I think I will bring along my dad's dutch oven table and cook it there, if you are okay with that Kris.

I just got 32's and fog lights :)
