Hello all,
I'm brand new here and new to Ford Explorers. I just purchased a 98 XLT 4.0 Automatic transmission with 125k miles.
The vehicle is nice and runs great. However, the transmission engages into drive and reverse slowly. Once it grabs, it shifts fine. It's just the first time you put it in drive that it hesitates before it engages. Any ideas what might be causing this and what the fix might be?
Thanks,
Dale
