ok, so i have decided that i am going to go. But this is contingent on one thing. I just relized i have to get a damn 37 inch tire for a spare. If i can come up with one i'll see you out there guys.

Chief, if the spare is the only thing keeping you from going, I can borrow a 36" Swamper that you could use - it's mounted on a 5x5 1/2 rim. Let me know and I'll bring it along.

Jim

Ill be out eather friday morning or friday afternoon /evening. Dont wait for me on a run friday though. I will have as much wood as I can fit in my truck.

Matt

Would that Rim size work? I think the explorer is 5 X4.5
Although i might be mistaken. I appreciate all the offers, and i might have to take you up on that. That might be the ticket. I still have one more option on trying to get a spare. I'll probably know tomorrow. We will see if that pans out. If not i'll let you guys know and maybe we can work something out.
I can probably borrow a trailer from someone i know for the Yz 250 but thanks. I should know if i can go tomorrow.

Brian Kennedy,
Check your E-mail, I've got room in my tent trailer.

BUMP

Redundant, but who is driving out from OC around 6pm or so Thursday night?

Brian, hope the shoulder is better, like to meet you out there.

One More day.:D I'll be arriving with Paul B. Thursday around 10:00 or 11:00 A.M.:bounce: :bounce:

I'll probably be there around 9:30-10:00 Thurs. night...

Khris

Well men, I never thought I would be the little girl saying this, but I don't think I can go. I need to get a new radius arm setup. I took it in to get fixed and they said its never gonna stay in alignment unless i fix the radius arm to frame assembly towards the rear of the arms. The damn part was 300 from a junkyard and 800something from the dealer. Talk about the biggest rape I have ever heard of! 300 for that piece of ****? Yah right. Anyways, I am going to invest in some heim jointed camburg radius arms as quick as freakin possible. They run about $915 out the door over at kartek. Thats a damn rape too.

If anyone's got a hook on camburg ****, I would really appreciate the assistance.(Khris, Sean) I'm sick of this damn bullshit with these crappy-ass stock components. So, I gotta cut way down on expenses and cut off everything that isn't a dier need, unfortunately=truckhaven...Have fun, I wanna see some breakage!!!

sirhk100,
Well it looks good! I have decided to take my mothers F350. I will bring my Dirtbike in the back and tow my explorer on a trailer. I wont know about my spare 'till thursday though. Damn. Anyway it is looking good. I just got my Shock resevoirs put on and it looks awesome. Ill try to get pics but you will all probably get to see this weekend.

Rick,
Are you still taking deposits? I'll send it thurs when i get a definate about a spare tire. I dont want to be that guy everybody points at because he doesent have a spare.:)

Josh,

Camburg gives ORR members a 10% discount and Kartek will also give you a discount if you talk to Scott and tell him you are from ORR and Sean sent you. ;)

Well, on a side note I installed the new front driveshaft today... After all the stuff I have done on the truck, I think I need a couple days to rest up for T-haven. ;)

Damn Chevy's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We made it to Monterey, CA from Everett, WA and the damn tow vehicle is at my parents house and won't start. Of course it's a Chevy Sububurban witht he 6.3L diesel. It acts like it's not geeting any fuel and the only thing we can figure is it's the mechanical fuel distribution thing. Oh well, the Explrer still runs and we'll just leave the tow vehicle here and continue on without it. There is no way I am missing t-haven this year. The only problem now is getting back to Washington since I am supposed to drop off the Explorer at Advance Adapters on the way back. I will leave tommorow by myself, as I have to be in San Diego early Thursfay morning for business(very important), while my brother-in-law continues the resurection efforts on the Chevy and he will meet us there. Wish us luck!

Rick,

I'll be arriving Saturday morning at 8:59 a.m. I couldn't find your mailing address, so instead of mailing you a personal check on Saturday, I might have to PayPal the run. Let me know about this. I'll be bringing a nice desert for everyone along with plenty of firewood for Saturday night...

I was out in Octillio today (about 35 miles south and slightly west of Truckhaven) and the weather was perfect. Warm, cloudless sky, w/light breeze. We are testing the radio reception and I get to drive all around the county in a patrol car with a radio technician. Some days are much harder to take than others. I will be out in Borrego tommorow (Wednesday) for a few hours, then back home. Looking at the extended weather forcast, it should be the same over the weekend (mid 70's to low 40's at night, some clouds).

I will be happy to lead on a stocker run or two since I have to take it easy anyway. I will try to cause less damage to everyone's rig than I did last year. But, remember, when I say "you might want to go around this hill", or "there is always an alternate route"......its only that I don't want to discourage a person new to our group by risking damaging their rig on the first trip.

1995 and newer Explorer's have the exhaust routed straight out the rear and angling downward, which can cause a problem when backing when the bumper is in the dirt. When backing up, the exhaust tip bends 180 degrees and punches a hole in the right-rear tire. We found that out last year, the hard way.

I WILL BE OUT THURSDAY NIGHT OR FRIDAY MORNING!!

Am bringing some cookies, or some other kind of desert.

I am still doing my best trying to get a fix on if my wife will feel well enough to take care of our two girls. If she's doing alright, then I should be out Late Fri night (after work and a 6 hour drive). Rick, I know we passed words earlier; so I will PayPal a deposit when I know... Sorry it is so late (wouldn't mind in on the Raffle possibility ;) Hoping to see you all soon!

This is gonna be my first trip with this group and I had a quick question. Are there any of the "Big Dawgs" that might have an extra seat for one of the runs? My rig is no where near being capable for these runs but I would really like to see what that part of the action is like. I'll be asking again once we get there but figured I'd ask before the trip began.

thanks sean for the info. I talked to scott yesterday on the phone. I didn't tell him i was at orr though. I have another deal that might go through, but if it doesn't, I will be going to kartek and telling him im a member and sean sent me. Thanks!

We have an open back seat and I'm sure there will be others as well. Nice thing about wheeling in an Ex :D
