Dont't have 31's yet went out to price them. Basiclly it's all stock except with the shackles and spring seats. I got the shackles from Pep Boys. Don't know if I am going to put 31's one yet. Going out to look at jeep wrangler tommorrow, and if the price is right it will be my trail rig and the X will be my dd. Victor.

yo black when are you going to get bigger tires? i will be interested in your rims and what not, just name a price.

If you didn't know the 31's fit on a stock rig. I have 31's on my truck and I just lifted it on thursday. I have had them on for like a month. They did rub a lil bit but only at full lock. 31's new run around $115 each for bfg's from what I remember.:D :exp:

Nice! :D

The tire places around me told me that they would not fit so they refused to sell them. BFG's at run roughly 124.00 apeice without the instalation and tax

I am going to be keeping the rims when I get the new tires. The rims are
15x10 american racing baja's I got them off that guys truck. The tires are about to blow too. They are starting to chunk out because they were on that truck sitting for 5 years. Unfortunatly the Goblin is going to be sitting for a bit unless I can borrow some money from my uncle for a battery and 2 new cables for it cause the cables are caroded and the battery had a dead cell a month ago and it finally CRAPPED on me today. :fire: :splat:

You have to go to mom and pop shop cause the corperate stores will not put them on unless you have a lift cause ford says they don't fit but they do. Some times you just have to buy the tires and take the rims in with out the truck and have them put on so when you go get new ones they will sell you them and put them on your truck because they are already on there. I have gone through that same thing with shops on my truck. I hope that helps.:salute:

I am just hopeing I can find some tires on craigslist friday that I wont be paying a grip for cause I now have to get a new battery and 2 new battery cables for my truck and that alone is gonna cost me $100. Hey 619 I am gonna try to get out to proctor valley this wekend sometime if I have enough gas money left over from buying the new tires and battery. Hit me up and let me know if you want to go.:salute:  :exp:

well i installed a open element filter today. It is almost exactly the same as the kkm one. I used the stock intake tube with a adaptor plate from pepboys and a open element filter. he is a run down on my prices:

adaptor -15
open filter-15
4 screws w/nuts-.98
25-40 min. of my time

so i did the project for about 31 dollars. I got a deal on a aem red open filter from the local wally world on sale. The screws i got were from home depot. i have not driven with it yet but i am sure that it did something, if not it looks better than stock. I disconnected the battery for 10min for the computer to be reset. i cant wait to try it. I am going to see how it goes on the freeway because i have to meet my girl in like 30 min. I will have pics up tommorow.

Have you thought of ditching the side moldings to make it appear to sit a little higher up...and then you can cover the holes with masking tape and bedline it...btw it looks pretty sweet...maybe go soa in the rear to even it??..

here are the pics of the filter, like i said nothing special, also yes that black stuff is electrical tape, i had to make sure it was completly sealed with the gasket, bolts and then tape. Also it seems like my car got quieter with the filter on it, is this normal? I cannot really tell a difference in power gains, it is just smoother on the throttle.

Were you talking about me on the soa? I will probable make my own leaf shackles for the rear to level it out but I need to get a longer steelbraided brake line and longer shocks for the rear before I lift it up the rest of the way in the rear. I still want it a lil higher in the front so that when I hit a steep incline the front is already up to clear the rise.;)

I think I might keep the moldings on it because it kinda breaks up the blackness hehe:D. I was actually thinking of doing bedliner below the trim to cover up some white road paint that got on my truck. If I took off the molding I would fill the whole the right way with a welder. I don't want any rust or water to get into my truck. With the bedliner stuff there is no guaranty that you wont have a leak at the holes and I really like to drive in deap water so that is a big issue with me.:D

when i put my cone filter on my explorer it made it louder, and gave it more power. If you get a mustang MAF you will gain some more power as well.

yea that is weird, my overall set-up got quieter. hopefully it gave me a power boost over the stock box. I plan on putting a throttle body spacer and maybe a chip on it, i think that will pretty much fill out my power plans. I might redo my exhaust aswell with a flowmaster or a gibson or something.

i am going to see if this is helping me any with gas mileage. I filled up today with 7 gallons of 87 octane. I will not drive above 2000 rpms so i am going to see how many miles i get out of it. Are there any other gas saving tips? i am looking at getting better gas milage right now. I might get the cat and go with a new muffler. most likely being a magnaflow. i will probably be going out and buying some autozone shackles then moding them tommorow or something.

ok, little update. I have gotten some stuff done today on my car. First off i got my oil changed, only use ford motorcraft synthetic blend 10w-30. And a fram oil filter. My x loved the oil changed. Here is a pic of that happening.

i am going to have a very detailed write-up on the installation of autozone shackles. They are a pita

I am going to make my own shackles once I get a longer brake line and longer shocks for the rear. I can't wait cause then my truck will be almost level. I want a lil bit more hight in the front just for approach angle.
