My advice, keep you're OHV. yes it's slightly less horsepower than the SOHC engine, but it's a more solid engine with less issues. (plus you already have it)

you're explorer looks pretty sweet though. one recommendation though, you should paint all that white brace stuff behind the grille black so it disappears. that would look sweet.

pictures! (they suck tho, cant look into dslr's viewfinder that low on the ground and it was to dark for auto focus to work)

i still need to make something to hold the back end up so it doesnt shake itself off one day lol
is the turndown fine or should i make something to have it come out the side atleast?

I like the turn-down. I want to do something like that!

slowly getting there with engine parts. autozone only has a 750lb engine stand, is that stong enough for the 4.0?

got a question. recently, or atleast ive just noticed, my oil pressure guage is 3/4s to H normaly, and when i gun it itll dip to L and go back to 3/4s and it seems to do it more then just once sometimes when wot. when i let go or atleast let off some itll go back to 3/4s.
this is the stock guage, so i dunno if its really accurate or not but its moving a lot anyway

interesting... Mine is doing somewhat the opposite. Stays around the low mark (lower half of the gauge, not actually on low) and when I gun it of goes up some then drops back down. Changed the oil 1200 miles ago and still have plenty. I'm thinking it may be fords OEM sensor crapping out.

IIRC the 1st gen oil pressure gauge is a dummy gauge.

yea i thought it was a dummy guage. but if its going off binary readings 0=flase(no pressure) and 1=true(pressure) then why the hell does it move all around. not just middle and Low but also inbetween under sudden high rpms. i wish my cam didnt break, its funny to watch. it goes crazy under wot up to 3rd gear-ish.

i wish they would just make real things that work. not idiot lights

anyway, some jba's just got here from syn-

and will this support my engine or do i need a higher rated one?

Can't really comment on the lift. But from my reading on the gauge, you may want to check out the Oil Pressure sender. may need to be replaced.
