Gah how do you see me! Yours stands out like dog balls with that bright blue, still havn't seen you around. I will get around to giving you a call when i go out bush next, gotta get some rubber for my wheel arches first after body lift.

What's the likeliness of finding another off road explorer just down the road aye?

It sure is mate ford blueprint blue with a flattening agent in the clear for a satin finish, it came up a treat I'm stoked with how it looks.

Lol Kurt. I remembered your license plate. I only just caught a glance of the plate then it clicked it was you so had to do a loop around the block to check it out. Yeah for sure, no worries

I made my snorkel myself.

Also a question for you all. What car here in oz has a bw 1354 manual transfer case? I'm sick of my 4405 and really want it manual shift. I've looked everywhere but not really sure what I'm looking for. Any help would be great

Looks like an ARB Snorkel for an 1980 Landcruiser. Kit# ARBSS60HF

They look almost perfect on an explorer, the upright is just a little more steep than the window line on an Explorer, but if you want it to match, you just need to heat the bend with a heat gun to get it to conform to the angle of your window line.

Yep seems you're right, works really well.

What modifications were needed to fit this Glen?

Not much modification my friend, all you need is a heat gun... Make sure use the template for the bolts holes and make sure it mold perfect on the guard, you may have a little gap but you can fill it up with black silastic...

Bolt on the snorkel into the guard first and then work yourself up by using a heat gun to line up on your front wind screen, then make a mark where you gonna screw in the bracket...

Then before you bolt on the snorkel neck into the bracket just heat i up again with the heat gun so you can push it towards the bracket easy...

After a week it should settle by then, so you can start taking the guard off while the snorkel is connected into the guard, seal up your air filter box and make a new inlet and connect a flexi hose both ends and make sure it sealed properly.
I used silicone to fill up these gaps just incase...!;)

YES..! done the Body Lift last Saturday and im Glad it was easy, i thought it was gonna be a nightmare....
I found that only 80% of the kit #853 needed for the Xplorer and it took me almost 2hrs just to complete the body lift except the front and rear bar brackets...
I'm leaving the rear bar as it is and i need to custom made a new front bar bracket as it depends what type of bull bar on the Xplorer...
First bolt i took off from the body mount snapped and took me 0.5 just to fix it well its all worth it and i love the feeling, honestly its feel more stable on the road when i drive and dont know why...

First thing...!
This the first parts i took off just to get me started.... (interior side)

and from the engine bay need to take off the air filter top housing including the air intake tube....

Then you just gotta undo the radiator off from the mounting... (no need to take ém off) I removed the top hose clamp from the radiator only, for me to easy access to get into the lower radiator bracket.... (dont forget to drain the water first tho) ;)

This is located on top radiator support and there's 2x holes to access the 18mm nut from body mount bolt with 15mm head... this body mount is located on the very front of the Xplorer just beside the headlight assembly...
