This is where Tom blew his front left axle

Peter made it up sucsessfully on 30" tires & front and rear lockers.


I mounted the camera to my rollcage and here is a little video clip.

Toms axle grenaded BEFORE Rick sacrificed the chair... And when he did sacrifice the chair it was only 1

Truckhaven was :smoke: It was grrreat fun seeing old comrades and meeting new ones to share trails and swap stories with . My only regret is that I had to leave on Saturday. Everything else was perfect. The weather was So. Cal. at it's best. A bit chilly at night. Brrrr but daytime was awesome.

I want to thank everyone for a great time but special thanks to Paul B. for the use of his portable hotel to stay at night, Rick thanks for swapping my axle out in record time, it's always a pleasure to see a master at work and winter for bringing the axle on Saturday.

I'm trying to include a picture of a strange whoops. Let me know if it comes out. Try and figure this one out.

My sweet little Ranger

In the afternoon I split up and went with FenderGuy, RockRanger, and Ranger-X on some harder stuff. This is where I USED my skid plates and also where I had the most fun.

This is alot steeper than it looks...

This is on top of one of the mesas with the Salton Sea in the background...all four of us can be seen...

This is a 4lo, 1st gear affair this is alot steeper too...here Ranger-X goes for it...

Here is RockRanger showing some flex..think he needs to trim the fenders any? Looks good Matt!

I'll definately be coming out next year, but by then I 'll have my lift and 33s. Thanks alot for putting together another great run RIck.

It was really a great group of people and those of you who didn't show really missed a good time.

Gopher, tell your Dad that he was right. I was up against that canyon wall on the Saturday night run. While I was washing off the dirt today, I found some scrapes on the left rear door's chrome trim.

Sorry to hear about your breakage diff-wack.

I'm glad you all had such a good time and am also truly sorry I was one of the no shows. I don't even have an excuse like DiffWhack having mechanical problems.

Friday morning I screwed up my back. It was one of those stupid things that make you laugh some time down the road. I was going out to the garage and the dog was laying in the hallway. As I stepped over him, he swished his tail and put it right into the spot where I was going to put my foot down. So, trying to avoid him I kind of twisted sideways and that was it. Pain and agony. No bouncing around Truckhaven and climbing in and out of lifted trucks for photo ops for me this weekend. Just in case anybody is interested, my back's ok again.

The pics are great, being there would have been better.

Paul, you're not doing anything wrong.

When you attach a picture, it's one post, one picture.

I damn near hopped in the f150 and flew down friday night.. but I had to talk to the mortgage broker monday, so I didn't.

Tom all I know is he was on the trail and the way I figure it he must have been backing up and got hung up on a rock. I can't remember his name but I hope he gives us an explanation.
