Sweet! We're building a small army of G2 users here now.

Not sure if you've watched any videos or done a ton of research or not, but just in case let me stress that prepping is hugely important. The better you prep, the better the results. Also, don't be discouraged after the first coat. It's going to look bad. Brush strokes will level out (self leveling paint) and the color will get much richer on the second and (if wanted or needed) third coats. I had enough paint left for probably a fourth coat, but three looked great. Dirt just sprays off easily with this product.
Like I said, not sure if you've done much research or not, but this is a pretty informative video and it's actually what talked me into doing mine (seeing the orange calipers with a black vehicle.) Plus Mike is a great guy.

Or if you've got no talent working on cars like me, you can have your garage buddies do it for you.

Anyways, good luck @MrWickd! Take photos!!!

The wife will be in Hanover, Germany all of next week for her job and I've got a 'for sure' project and a 'probably' project as well. I'm going to plasti dip the ovals (not just straight black, though, and it will require taping and time.) The wife has been 'reluctant' to let me paint them, so I'm hoping when she sees what they look like plasti dipped she'll let me pull the trigger with having them painted at a body shop.
My other project that will likely get done next week is painting my exhaust. Not the chrome tips and not all the exhaust, just the 'down pipes' area (as well as the mufflers) that stick out like a sore thumb when you follow my (or any other for that matter) Ex. Still waffling on grill paint or VHT heat resistant black paint. I think the VHT gives better 'up close' results from what I've seen, but at the same time it's not like anyone is going to be crawling under Alfred to do an 'up close' look at my exhaust (at least I hope not, haha.)

Sure, here's a link to the YouTube video illustrating the install:
And a link to amazon for the actual product:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015G3QXMY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_hiw5UpZtX2EGU
How's that bracket holding up? Would love to do to my PI. Only one strap that goes around, pretty snug?

I went with the orange. It's close to the shade of orange on the old school HEMI engines. Here is a pick of my calipers on my Charger

Nice! I'm thinking about red. On the sides, everything is black, white, or red, so I think it will tie in nicely. I could also go blue or orange to tie into my Gators tag and license plate frame, but I don't think I'd like those as much. It's going to be red or black, and I don't see much point in black.

Did most of this last week but it's been storm season out here in California. Finally had a sunny day to take these pics. I purchased a 2013 XLT from a dealer earlier this month.
I added a Husky liner in back (for 3rd row down) and had a body shop paint my roof rack rails, rims (Ultra Motorsport 245 Spline), and tailgate trim piece black. The rims were mostly black but had bare metal (silver colored) highlights which I thought looked too busy. I replaced the grille with one from a Sport model and replaced front and rear badges with black ones.

Got this on eBay for $115. Easy to install. So easy that I did it myself (could you believe that!). I was going to use it for my MacBook but the way the base sits on the bottom, it doesn't sit right plus it's a 15" MacBook Pro so it's a bit obnoxious.
However, when I use my iPad Pro, it works/looks pretty cool. It'll be nice for when I check my emails from time to time when I'm stationary. Yes, I am stationary. Or when I'm watching Netflix... JUST KIDDING!!! I would never do that. Seen too many bad things happen when you're distracted.
My wife (or any passenger) sat in the car and rolled her eyes at me but when she was able to swing it over to her side and played bejeweled and check her FB status, she actually said, "Not bad... Can I have one, too?" God hello me.
I'll try it out for a while. I can always take it off as easy as I put it on. The only thing is that it shakes a little when I'm on the road. I'll have to wrap a piece of foam around the base so it rests against the middle console.

That actually looks pretty cool, not to be a spoiler but be careful if it's sitting in the airbag deploy zone. If you are unfortunate enough to get hit the airbags turn that iPad into a guillotine.
Years ago Panasonic did a demo showing why Police need to buy their ToughBooks over a regular retail consumer laptop. I saw their airbag demo that showed a consumer laptop screen blown back through the rear window.

That's exactly what I was thinking myself. I'm pretty much alone when I'm using the rig for work but when passengers are inside, I just fold it down into the floorboard. Thanks for the heads up, though.

BTW.....get some vinyl conditioner on those seats and console they look like they need some loving care! LOL!
LMAO - I knew someone was going to say something about that. All fixed, my friend. I actually got suckered into the "leather car package" for $1000 when I bought my ride. I got some leather/interior care **** and used it after I "worked" on my ride.

That's a great kit, I'm sold.
The rotor hat rust is driving me nuts, does the spray cleaner in the kit deal with that?....or is there not enough paint to do all 4 calipers plus rotor hats?
