2024 Ranger XLT

How do people like the GS Dobinson? I know the IMS is monotube vs twin tube, but in my experience, I havent noticed a difference in monotube vs twintube only when rut busting which is not in the plans for the Ranger hahaha. Know for a fact dont need the MRR ;)

We try to stay away from everything twin tube anymore. The Monotube has a bigger piston and more fluid, this should last longer and be less resistant to fade.

You would just transfer over the top hats to the new springs and struts. I would just do shocks in the rear, and worry about upgrading the rear leaf in the future if needed. I'm still rocking the factory one.

Interesting, alright. The Ranchos I run on the Explorer are TT and Ive never had any issues that I noticed. On the Dobinson, looks like a 300 buck difference. If I do TT all around seems like its 930, or front MT is 920, so approx the same. If I go MT, I think I would hold off on the back for a bit, since $$$ & the rear shocks are easy to toss on any time haha. I will keep this in mind!

Hypothetically, would even the TT be noticiable better than stock? For the rear, I'm thinking either leave it be, or go TT, since MT is about double the price. If I go MT F/R looks like its 1500. Although either way gotta put the money where the mouth is and check my ledger hahaha

If it helps any, the planned use for this is not the Rubicon, not even sure I'd do Gold Mountain again (hair raising with the Explorer...), we usually wheel to get to fishing & for scenery.

It's really piece of mind and one and done. The Monotube will be more comfortable though.

Its their monotube setup. At least for the Ranger, they have twin tube, mono, and rmeote resevoir. Went with the monotube. It rides really well! Remains to be seen how it wheels, but the shock surplus crew will have a video on it!!! They will know much more than I haha.

1 month or so in and it rides great. Over the small bumps its smoother, but over the long corners it doesnt roll as much. The originals were hard over small bumps but if I took a longer corner itd continue to slowly roll more and more. Still need to wheel it haha. So far I can only comment on street ride.
