I have a 95 explorer with a OHV and I would like to have the exhaust shop bend new tubing with a new muffler but I don't want it to be really loud, more of a deep tone, not a ricey sound. does anyone have any suggestions for a muffler? any sound clips? how big of tubing should I have them use?

i have a 2.5" gibson its not loud but deeper i like it

I have a flowmaster super 40, i love it, its deeper, but can be very obnoxious above 4000 rpm, but i mean in a good way!

A vid is in my profile, a few actually.

I would highly recomend not going above 2.25 for a single pipe or using a single chamber race muffler. Y X's simply dont flow enough exhaust gases and you'll loose too much back pressure which "can" = loss in torque.

Thanks guys. I was thinking magnaflow but I hadn't ever heard an explorer with one. I also saw the gibson exhaust but is it really worth the 350$ when I could probably get the muffler shop to make an exhaust with a magnaflow for around 175$?
