HMM, just heard some news about SMORR not sure the exact date but think it was this last weekend. My friends buddy goes there all the time and said a Polaris RZR rolled somewhere and caught fire, burning it completely up, but also catching around 200 acres on fire. Hopefully it didn't destroy to much of the park. No injuries were reported and I was told he had 18,x.. invest and no insurance *Moron*.

Have any of you made your power site reservations yet?

If your just tent camping on a primitive site, no need to make a reservation, as it is unlimited.

We scored a new easy up tent for this meet at Sams Club. 8 person tent, and huge screen walls that "Zip" up for solid walls. If any of you are needing a tent, this tent was affordable and very roomy with a solid roof (no rain fly) for those that camp in the weather. Easy to heat with the solid roof compared to the rain fly types, and with the huge zip down screen walls, easy to cool with massive air flow.

I wonder if it will be cold like last year?? I guess with the warm winter we have had so far, it will hopefully be WARM!! Carter is pumped and wants to bring his new go-kart? Do they allow that?

Bring the go cart!! All they can do is say no. There is plinty of open area to ride and be out of the way.
Man you how kansas weather changes daily! i'd pack my winter gear and be prepaired. OH Smach! smorr is in that other state next to kansas.
Be prepair for the wrost and HOPE for the best:D

Brandon posted this about the fire:

"The rzr did not roll it was going up high Mtn Pass and had what we thinks was an electrical fire!! The rzr burnt in 5 mins and yes it caught the woods on fire. It probably burned off around 60 to 100 acres of leaves and underbrush which need to go anyways. The ranch is not hurt at all and neither were the two folks in the rzr!!"

i have 2 questions about this trip...
1: i dont need electric hookup or anything, but can i bring my small trailer and park it where i will be camping for the weekend? (its a 4x6, it will be for ice chest, the truck fenders after i get there and bedding supplies, ect...)
2: i might be bringing my other toy if shes off work, but can i bring my true co-pilot(lucky)? hes very human friendly and is a medium size dog

1-I don't see a problem with the small trailer next to your tent. We park pop-up campers in the primitive sites.

2- All dogs must be leashed at all times at the park. Large aggressive dogs (or any aggressive dog) is not allowed in the park. It is a family orientated park, and a lot of children running around the camping area, & playgrounds.

3-Any 2cycle sport type ATV, or any motorcycles are not allowed. Bigger RZRs types are allowed.

Hope this helps :salute:

I gotta work this weekend, but i put in for vacation so im gonna try and make it. I wont know until a few weeks before hand if i got it or not.

Fingers crossed! :D

Good deal. Your going to appreciate having a power site for your set up. Nice level gravel drive to park, and grass lawn along side the drive. 4x4 lumber post fence dividing the sites as well.

I have a feeling you will be set up before anybody again this year..LOL

Dont forget, that the park is open for us on Thursday as well, if any of you want to arrive earlier. ;)

I didnt realize Thursday, we may show up thursday evening then?

LOL I dunno, prolly only wheel for 2 days, then go riding at Chadwhick either before or after.

Were going to try this again this year.

50 yard 4wd Low range drag races! :burnout:

For any that want to run in this, find me, and ask for a card. You will get one half, and the other half goes in a hat.

Before the 1st run, we will draw the cards to choose the pairs.

Winners of the 1st run will race the 2nd run and so forth, until we have a winner.

New cards will be chosen out of the deck by the winning driver, and another drawing will be had.

If you opt out of a run (breakage, nerves, chicken, etc...), the person your paired off with advances.

Winner takes home bragging rights above all, but will also take home an award to be announced before the races begin. We think you will like it. :)

We will have a course marked off and have a starter and a line Judge(s). Judges decision is final.

Races will begin after lunch on Saturday the 5th.

We haven't decided if we want a 2wd 100 yard race or not. I will let you all decide on that.

This is only one of the things planned for Saturday, so stay tuned for more to be announced!

:salute:

The Black Hole is going to miss out on yet another meet for the exact same issue as the last meet. I have done all I can to fix it, but my best wasn't good enough. Crap economy and a long hard winter has left me unable to pay for a shop to repair it in time for this meet.

I will still be there, but wont be wheeling with you all this year.
