I own a 1996 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition my windows have recently stopped working and my four-wheel-drive and four low lights are blinking in sequences of four. I was told by multiple people that it could be the GEM module unfortunately the one I replaced it with was also bad. This is my original one that I took out. My question would be how would I go about replacing this and what should I look for? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have the same symptoms with the second GEM? Or different ones

There are a couple relays potentially involved, so I'd investigate that next, the battery saver and accessory delay relays.

Somewhere... there's a topic... with a post... with good pics... I found this one, but I had posted one with a looking-in view from the driver's footwell up into where this box is, up under the dash to the right.

You have changed the GEM module without reading codes before?
If you have flashing indicator lights

i am pretty sure you will have some of these codes

and that is a sign of a bad transfer case shift motor.

Windows not working is a independent issue, maybe broken wires inside the drivers door cable bushing.
