Too late, he can hardly fit that huge cranium in his Explorer! :D :D :D

I swapped out the broken shaft today, here's a comparison shot. You can see the ujoint lost a cap. I don't know if that was part of the cause or happened after the fact.

Ouch! why would you do something so crazy that you would break an axle shaft  :D Once I swap my 44 in Ill give you my spare short side setup so you will have a spare again for that side. Did it take out the spindle too? Also let me know if they wont warrenty your hub. If they wont I have a spare Warn Ill give you as well. Wish you wouldnt have broke pulling me out like that I felt bad about it.

I think the lip of the spindle got ground down a little, the nuts seemed to recut the thread on the way off. I didn't look close yet, as I was chasing daylight to get it back together.

As long as it is extra parts I have laying around. Hopefull in the near future my truck wont be as prone to high centering anymore.

Mike, the guy with the 2 door sport.. does he post here? If so, whats his screen name? I would like to ask him a few Q's :)

Glad you guy's had a blast and everyone was safe. I was going to go but my wife had a birthday trip to vegas planned out that weekend. I might have some time off at the end of March and take a run out to TH. I'll let you guy's know in case anyone can make it.

He's not on the board.

hey the new shaft looks like ass....

You Did you swap over Ujoints or replace?
AS long as the nuts thread onto the spindle and the lock ring washer tab doesnt slide out of the groove, I say run it.

Matt, if you give Bill more parts he's just gonna have to move more stuff around in his garage, he has been secretly collecting spare parts for a while now and just doesnt tell anyone so they keep giving him more, it's sad really.....

Bill I was thinking, from the pictures I think it was a good thing you didnt have a bumper yet because you probably would have just jacked it up! Not sure if my Duff bumper wouldnt have bent back on that hit, at that angle, good job!

No, just slid in the axle as is. I still need to really look at that spindle.

I'm a partsaholic, AKA Brett's disease. ;)

I just bought a 3/4" thick aluminum synth rope fairlead for my winch on ebay for $27.00! The cheapest I could find anywhere else was $50.00. Pretty cool :D

I think I am going start collecting parts too :D
