Boomin's getting a sex change

I still have the transfercase in for the reason of a SAS. I'll take the AWD case out when I decide if I really want to stay 2wd or go 4x4. I still have my front driveshaft and front pumpkin (minus gears and carrier). Spindles are a cheap lift to play with till the truck is almost paid for. Then she'll get the knife. For some reason I find wheeling in 2wd alot more fun the 4wd. The ****ty thing is when you get stuck you have no 4x4 button :(.

:D

A 4.56 ratio with a 302 will be more than enough I think. I think the truck will be very nice looking. I'll need to get chris up here so I can see it up close if its worth anything. I'm sure I'll be talking to you, chris, about the project, but I will now just wish you luck on it. And on the 4.88 pin, I don't think it would be anymore grinding on a tooth or two of the ring gear to put it in than on the 4.56.

Im afraid I might not fit 35's right. I might need bigger :)

As much as I would love to see your truck lifted, I wish you'd keep it lowered. Like Beau said, you guys are a dying breed. Only a handful of fast lowered X's left that haven't been totalled or lifted. :( Anyways, good luck!

That's the best thing about 4WD. It's 2WD until you push the button.

Haha guy well here we go. This weekend I will take the last pics of the truck lowered. I have decided that it is the best for me to lift my truck for 2 reasons. 1 is that it will slow me down some hopefully and 2 is that noone really has done what I am doing to a mountaineer. What /QUOTE]

boomin. did u forget about my mountainner?
hehe glad to see you finally came to the darkside! muahaha! cant wait to see it done man.

Sex change, ahuh! Finally becoming a man! :D

Clark, THAT is my exact idea. I am getting perrys and a front bumper just like that.

BTW: SOA is about done, Will finish sometime this week and install spindles

You're not doing a body lift are you?

ok so i understand that you took out everything in the diff to make it 2 wheel drive, but i thought with a front dif it was bad to go over 2 inches cuz of the cv joints. but i'm not mechanic so i probly sound like an idiot right now.

since im 2wd i dont have CV's or a front dif any longer.

No body lift yet and probibly not

boomin go solid axle. that'd be sweet.

boomin will when he doesn't owe 10k on his truck ;)

ok. i'm sorry i thought you meant you had the dif and drive shafts still in the truck. i mis-read what you wrote. i'll go find a corner and put my dunce hat on now.

the big bonus about lifting them with huge tires, is they are so easy to work on, get under :)

2wd may be fun to wheel, but thats not really "wheelin" its more "romping" Also a 4wd will ALWAYS do better off road, when you compare apples to apples (long travel to long travel )

I just like 2wd. I still ahve 4wd spindles and front case so if i wanted to go back it wouldn't be hard. I'll have some pics up tomorrow with SOA in the rear and 2'' drop up front :)

410: Truck sounds good man!
