Noticed this morning that the DST did not kick in and adjust the clock back 1 hour.

DST was turned on and the useless calendar actually showed the correct date.

Did you get the same thing ?

Mine did (or, didn't do) the same thing... I manually adjusted the time.

I have a suspicion that it likely has something to do with when the government changed when DST starts to about 3 weeks earlier now than what it used to be. Although, that doesn't actually make much sense because the new DST time took effect about 5 years ago, and our cars are much newer than that.

I also have a 2009 Dodge Challenger with Sirius and nav, and its clock doesn't change for DST either.. so it's not just a Ford thing. The Challenger is not a daily driver, so I can't remember if it leaped back a few weeks later at the time when the changeover used to occur.

Guess we'll see if our clocks are off by an hour in a few weeks. :)

Same here, didn't go back one hour, had to manually change time

I had to change mine mannually also, didn't automatically roll back an hour.

There is a setting in the clock settings to turn DST on and off.

Mine did not change, either. I'll just leave it. This way my wife will be on-time for stuff the next several months.:(

Hi, Everyone!

You will have to go into your clock settings and turn Daylight Saving Time OFF. Here are the steps:

MENU > CLOCK > DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME > OFF

:)

I also found that when I set the clock back one hour manually, the GPS Time Synchronization went to OFF. When I set it back to ON, the time jumped ahead 1 hour. I reset the time and left GPS Time in the OFF position.

Funny enough the 3.5.1 update seems to add automatic DST changes. They must not want a new DST thread every 6 months :)

I think this will be a pain in the future if DST dates change again, but it certainly makes it easier on the user now.

the 3.5.1 update ??
I did the latest V3.2.2 update a few weeks ago and according to SMR, I'm up to date.

This is an example of something we think is automatic but is not. When I see an on/off option for DST I assume that it means the system is programmed to automatically adapt for the time changes. This one isn't. The on/off is merely a add/subtract an hour function, nothing automatic about it. Silly programmers.

Or did they fix it in the very latest release?

Check the thread on the A4 navigation card for more information

There was a TSB released today (or in the last week) explaining the update, I don't think it's on SMR because it requires a new Navi card, so either they are sending them in the mail again, or you'll have to go to your dealer for the update.

I updated already =P picking up a new card from my dealer in an hour

In every vehicle I've had the DST worked like MFT *did* work... in the 3.5.1 update that came out in a TSB today, it appears they have switched to doing it automatically based on location + DST dates. This means that if the dates for DST ever change, then you will need to update MFT or your clock will be off.

Silly me. I thought it was automatic as well. Doen't make any sense to have that DST button if you have to go in and press it. May as well just hit the - / + on the clock.

If V3.5.1 does in fact make it automatic then that is better. Just wondering if you then still have to turn the GPS Time Sync to OFF?

Not sure what you mean by turning the GPS time sync off. I have GPS time on, auto timezone on, and there is now no option for DST at all, it just automatically determines DST via timezone and date.

If you want to manually set the time then you would have to turn the GPS sync off, but I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that

When I set the GPS Time Synchronization ON, it advances the time 1 hour even though it shows Eastern Standard. When I manually set the clock back 1 hour to the Eastern Time zone I'm in, the GPS Time Sync turns off. Botton line is that I don't seem to be able to set the correct time with the GPS Time Sync in the ON position. It keeps setting the clock one hour ahead when turned ON.
