Engines indling really rough

hey guy,

my Sport trac 01 is idleing really hard, it just got proessively worst over the last couple of days. I hit the gas the truck just bog down until 3000 rpm then it the the truck start to vibrate hard. my truck has 94,000 miles on it.check engine came and some time even flashes, havent got to hook too ob2 scanner yet. Any idea?????? What is likely hood that just the spark plugs need to be change????

Isn't a misfire the only thing that will make the MIL flash?

My 96 explorer is doin the same thing pretty much but my check engine light isn't on and no codes came out could this be a clogged cat or fuel filter.

I had this happen about a year ago, CEL started flashing, lost power and shock real bad, after I had it scanned, read misfire on #3, the motor would not turn over,locked up. pulled the plugs and #3 had filled full of gas causing a hydro lock, turned out to be a fuel injecter stuck open.with the ignition on the fuel pump would fill that cylinder full and it happened to be on the compression stroke, scared the s**t out of me.
