was that the one that comes in a box? was it 3 grand about? or am i thinking of another similiar thing. could see that if you have a small farm or something or an extra long driveway @410Fortune ;)
11,800 yuan. That is under $1,800. I found a video of them being offloaded from a semi trailer. 2nd photo shows the transformer sitting on the tire. Base models have a motorcycle handlebar for steering. The expensive model has a steering wheel, and digital dash. WeChat won't let me save the videos to my phone or I'd post a few here. There is a microm knockoff bronco version too down to the headlights and taillights

Crap if it goes 45 I could use it for work HAHA

So, there is a car , called a car to really an enclosed autocycle. 3 wheels.3 motors. Huge hatch area, but it is a 2 seater.

1000 mile range, with on board solar good for 40 free miles per day. I like it.

0-60 less than 3 seconds.
Starts at 25 k for 250 mile version and quickly climbs in price as you add options. But 25 k, 40 free miles per day is awesome sauce.

Supposedly being shaken down in desert, baja

I should start a thread about it. The climate controls are some pc looking fans in the roof. The hybrid model has a 1 cylinder engine under the drivers seat, gas tank is from a generator, the pancake style. Whoever builds these things is very resourceful to use off the shelf parts to keep cost down.

I like the older gas cars because if crap hits the fan, we can find fuel for them to run on whereas with EVs they can shut them down and that's it
The best solution for a SHTF scenario is to convert an ICE vehicle to electric with a kit. This way you get the benefits of an EV without the big brother or nanny state interfering with how it operates. Plus, it would be something you can repair yourself since you built it or have a simple repair manual to follow. Then if lithium-iron batteries are used and say the vehicle has a 250 mile range per charge then then the lifetime battery range would be around 625k miles. This would be a good long term solution for a SHTF situation.

Yeah man that looks cool and it's interesting

Looks like the cost will be $26k to about $46k depending on options. That is a reasonable price for what you would be getting.

I would probably do that with a ranger or something just to play with but for a DD i don't think ill ever go away from ICE i like the way these vehicles drive and really like ICE i mean yeah EVs are good for some people but for me it's not practical and i don't like em i prefer a vehicle from the 80s or 90s or the 00s but anything newer than 2010 ill stay away from the problem isn't EVs its how the government wants to force everyone to go to EVs and phase out new ICE vehicles all together i believe we should have a choice between an EV or an ICE vehicle also they keep saying its for the environment and to help with emissions but what about all these big companies polluting and other countries that are 10x worse than the US especially in greenhouse gasses and pollution i never said we shouldn't have EVs but we should have the choice to choose what we want and how we want it

Not bad at all

not all wrong. howveer conpared to others the US is a developed nation and relitively affluent. as such, being the "example" its our job to lead, and reduce, since people can be swayed some can swing the EV cost etc. also a change is a change a decreaee in out emissions is a decrease in total emissions. i would like to see more initiative from other countries but hey reduxtion is reduction or thats how i see it idk

True we are a leader, but do we want to turn in to a country where we force people to do things "socialism" like other countries I believe there should be a choice also most newer ICE vehicles have way less emissions than cars 20 years ago

The ideal scenario is to have one of each. Each one would have their own use cases and provide a backup for each other. I bet a smart guy could build an EV and ICE combination into one vehicle. A converted ICE to EV vehicle would solve all the government intervention issues but then they might keep you from using charging stations. There are work arounds to this.

Yep see the issue is they want total and complete control and sure we can all go EV but what will they force us to do next?

There isn't a whole lot of difference in environmental impact of running an ICE or EV in the present day.

Nope actually i believe the most recent ICE are cleaner than EV

Seeing the pictures of the rainforest being cut down and burned for fuel to open pit mine the resources to make the batteries, I agree with you.
