Much, much better!

was the before photo stock height or did the previous owner lowered it?

Thanks for the compliments... I still need to raise up the rear higher though ;)

Soa :)

I am contemplating SOA... however, with the 2" lift shackles it has now, if i do an soa, i will have to go back to regular shackles and also, i plan on doing an AAL, so i may be level and not need to do an soa

the truck was lowered when i got it.... 3" rear block and cranked torsion bars..... befroe i raised it, i cranked the bars opposite so it was a little higher and removed the block... now that the fabtech lift is on, i backed off the tbars 2 full turns, so it is still a little higher than just the 4" spindles.. but i like it....

Looks great!

Looks good. Funny with the big tires on it :p

here are more after pictures...one is what my avatar is using... but larger and in more detail... you like the chrome tow hooks, huh? ;)

almost as much as jamest's

looks sweet...and whats up with those original rims? :fart:

those rims were never original to that truck.....

the stock rims that truck had back in 1985 were 14x5.5" steel rims with a 195/75/14 tire on them....

Looking good!

actually thinking about ride height change..... its about a 8" front suspension height difference and currently about 5" in the back (will soon be about 7-8")
not to mention the additional height from going from 235/60/14s to 31x10.5x15s - which is 6" alone but only ends up being 3" of lift

Looks like your missing a lugnut? or did stud strip? break off?

I'm suprised the lug pattern was the same, i didn't know toyota made a 5x4.5.

also it looks good, big improvement!

yup same pattern... i think all the toyota 5 lug vehicles are 5 on 4.5"

all of the 4x2 toyota trucks until the debut of the tacoma had 5 on 4.5"

and this is the second time, i got a comment on the stud... it isnt broken, i just got lazy and decided not to put on the wheel lock that came with my lugnut kit.... i really dont like wheel locks, they dont prevent theft of the wheel, but do prevent tire guys like myself from an easy tire change....

looks good, but its kinda sad lookin at the pics for the first time and thinking the tires went up to stock sized explorer tires with the lift lol

those arent stock sized explorer tires......

they are 31x10.5x15s

and considering the toyota is a 4x2 pickup that had stock sized 195/75/14 tires on it, that is a huge difference!
