Joe Dirt's Wedgie

There seems to be more hype about a new mini-van than the new explorer. I think Ford should put Joe on the pay roll as a marketing superviser.:D

BAM! :D

Home, and preparing a thread... :D

I couldn't see Dirt driving all day just to pick up a mini van...chocodiles maybe

Its a smoke and mirrors trick or something. Look at the tags, the one is smoke and mirrors. I won't believe its a van until I see it. I'm thinkin' its something *****in, maybe a 5.0 stang, or maybe a town and country with stow and go!!

Hes not giving up the man card...

Anyone can add tags to a thread, they mean nothing.

I think Eric is right... :D

Oh yeah- let me fix that...

Been looking for a new member named Joe Dirt on this forum:

http://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-caravan-23/

Didnt find one, but wow those are some vehicles over there. Especially the espresso models. What I wouldnt do to have one with montalban rich korinthian leather.

Ok, so now that the day has arrived, I felt it fitting to answer the riddle of clues, to make good on this:

… I'm looking forward to a collective "WTF?!?" :D

You know, when this is over it could end up being a monumental let down on the excitement scale for everyone but me. Until then, I'm having fun with this. lol!

So here we go… :)

Ok, here's a hint.

roofnew.jpg

The first and most obvious clue was a blatant HOLY CRAP! When I went back and looked at pics sent to me. Damned if there isn’t a new Cherokee in there. I should have some fun with this! So off we went…

As did I, but it could be another 2nd gen. The color just looks like it is that of the Wedge

Ah, and Sport may have been on the right track here. Maybe, maybe not.

I know those roof rails anywhere. I already know the answer, so I can't play. :D

And yes, Celly knew. And he knew that MY roof rack was repainted in a 2 page spread earlier in the registry. My rails don't look like that. Nobody else? Really?!?!

You know, when this is over it could end up being a monumental let down on the excitement scale for everyone but me. Until then, I'm having fun with this. lol!

I love fried chicken! Might have to go get some one day soon. Tasty hints are always more fun :D

baly.jpg

That hint was huge. Why the heck would I post that? Someday soon? Where is that chicken establishment, anyway?

Pontiac? Only if it's Ponch's...

Do you think if I spent less time doing this at work and more time actually working, I would have more money to spend on a replacement?

IMG01363-20110113-1020.jpg

Seriously- a Pontiac? Nobody picked up the chicken shack/coffee shop clue… And who said the Wrangler brochure in there was the clue anyway- maybe it was the EF on my monitor? Posted the same day as the chicken shack? Put 'em together maybe? Why the hell would there be a picture of a coffee shop sign in the middle of this thread?!?!? :)

My boy would love it if another Explorer would show up. But, he's not the only one with a say, and as for the other party with a say- Ford doesn't make one of her choice of vehicles anymore. :(

Ford doesn't make minivans anymore.

Correct Tom, but Ford also doesn’t build a body-on-frame Explorer anymore… ;) Hee hee! :D Stretch? Maybe. But it's my game. lol!

I get enough on mine- I haven't washed it in 2 weeks, and the salt is piling up... Let's set the flag half-mast for clean cars until spring. :)

IMG01376-20110114-1129.jpg

You know, for all of the Dodge dealership shots, nobody remembers from the 2011 reveal thread… You need to remember things I say, because I do.

Yeah, but the TC isn't anywhere the girth of an Econoline EL. It's deceptively big inside, but still pretty small compared to, say, a Sprinter. But they're pieces of s***, ours is at the dealership all the time

Then I got this reply, so I figured- what the hell, maybe a minivan?

Im guessing used Caravan owned by single mother with 7 kids. Nothing screams dirt more than that, imagine the cleaning involved. Spoiled milk, old fries, sticky suckers, gum, and the list goes on and on. Joe's dream of scrubbing, cleaning, magical erasers, wax, carpet shampoo, all come true.

Here was an interesting one…

it's confirmed Joe's next car will be a station wagon:D

Which wasn’t picked up on, but more later...

Is this Joe's new ride?
attachment.php

I don't think he is trading in his self-respect for a minivan.....

So I carried on…

IMG01242-20101213-0853.jpg

and yes, the color of our next vehicle is creatively in this picture. More clues since the suspense will turn into "what the hell was that all about- booooo-ring!" since it'll be here next week. ;)

Who said it wasn't the vehicle I was sitting in? It said 'creatively' :D

Clues in multiple threads? Nice! :D

Maybe not good ones, but still diversion clues- from the HID thread:

I'm considering some Luminic H3's for yellow fog/driving lights later next week...

You know, H3’s don’t fit into an Explorer. But I did say "considering" not "buying" or anything- I'll figure out they won't fit once I investigate. That one pushed Brian off the scent, because he was getting too close!

But just to play along some more from Maniak’s rental thread:

Caravan- excellent choice.

Does it have *****in rims like this one? :D
MaybeNewVan.jpg

…but as a diversion, a 2004 Dodge Caravan does take H3's in it's blazing fog lights, and I even found a reddish one. ;)

Cool deal on the minivan, now you and Joe can compare fog lights when he gets his new ones.

Right. Right? Assclown. :p:

Then the biggest hint yet.

Launch will be towards the end of next week, once I get it picked up. Everything is finalized, I just need to get a ride to the Van.

After Brian’s iPad thread, this was in there…

What about the most glaringly obvious-

Website/company name in email: WIREZ INCORPORATED
Name on website: WIREZ INCORPORATION

Scam spelling and capitalization fail... <-- CLUE!

Good Eyes!
Ive been to glued to figuring out your next ride!

Sadly, not well enough… :D

You see, the word ‘Van’ was capitalized. Like a name?
Then we get here- I mean come on… A little effort, people?

I do need thrust. Torque- it helps get my ass moving. :D
Horsepower helps too- my unexciting new vehicle will have 215HP just like Wedgie does. :)

Not my fault a Grand Caravan has 215 HP as well- that made it all the more fun. I never said it wasn't an Explorer...

Nice color too. I have to say that the deep wedgewood blue did in fact grow on me. I was never a fan of blue cars, but I'd get another one.

Come on- that was a softball.

Ok, let's put this all together, shall we?

Remember Techie's post:

it's confirmed Joe's next car will be a station wagon :D

Oh yeah- These things are listed on the title that way... :D

Where is Balyeats Coffee Shop?

VW.jpg

Same day as the coffee shop in Van Wert, EF is on the screen yet again.
At this point, everyone seems to be off the route. Tried to get y’all back on…
... It would be nice if I could use some of the parts I already have on the shelf for what I buy...

and...

Nice color too. I have to say that the deep wedgewood blue did in fact grow on me. I was never a fan of blue cars, but I'd get another one.

So let's search the EF...

vw2.jpg

...and under your noses the whole freakin' time.

vw3.jpg

Where did all this come from? I blame Glen- from the 11th post in the near 700 post Wedgie registry:

I know Mr. Clean you like the clean look but I think you should try the TT/Shackle with a clean truck and you'll love it ;) just opinion :)

So I did.

Meet Wedgie 2.0- or, as I have aptly named 'er- Deuce...

...and parked by Balyeats, in Van Wert Ohio. Picked up after I got a ride to "the Van" you know- "the Van Wert" So I can use some of the parts I have left over, with 215 HP just like Wedgie, and draped in that color that really grew on me- Deep Wedgewood Blue. Wearing that roofrack, and which is trail rated already, and not, I repeat NOT a freakin' minivan. ;)

IMG_1638.jpg

Why a monumental letdown? Because I just bought what I already had... :D

IMG_1625.jpg

...well, sorta. ;)

and THAT, folks, is a 5 Chocodile worthy reveal.

Only one thing remains... Where is Wedgie going? :D
...I sense another reveal-the-clues-thread... ;)

It looks like a blue version of my Explorer!

Congrats on the new purchase! Glad to see its not a minivan!

And another V8...impressive.
