MFT Update

Hi guys & gals-

Just "installed" MFT v. 3.2.2. I say "installed" because I received an error message at the very end saying, "Installation Failed. XXXX file is corrupt...." <Sorry, should have grabbed a screen shot>

When pushed the "ok" button, everything seemed to load correctly. I cycled through the four quadrants (phone, nav, entertainment, and climate), and all appeared to be working correctly. For giggles, I decided to take the usb stick and do a "report a successful install" on the Syncmyride website. The website indicates that I had a "successful install."

I'll keep you guys posted after a few days field testing....

I had the same thing happen when I had 3.2.2 installed at the dealer...the Tech had no idea why that happened or what it meant. It looked like I had a good update too with the temp moved and everything seemingly working. Over a couple of weeks though we determined that the voice commands were not working well, the VHR was not showing up at SMR and the travel channels (some) never finished loading. Now I have 3.5.1 and a new APIM and all seems good to go. Hopefully, your will be fine.

I've thought about trying to download the files to another USB stick and re-try the install. However, I am unable to access the files from the SMR website. I'm wondering if I can simply "copy and paste" the files from my first USB stick to the second one.

Not available for download, dealer install only. If you have nav it includes a new A4 SD card.

3.5.1 upgrade

I had it installed at a dealership. The Tech stated that after 3 attempt to install it, they did some checks and determined I had a bad APIM module. Everything seems to be working and stable so far although we have only driven it a couple of times since the update. It is faster in response to channel changes, etc as well.

Same thing happened to our friend's Edge. He kept getting reboots galore so he took it in, thinking that the update would help. The service dept called a while later and after trying to install the update a couple of times and it failing each time, they gave up and ordered a new APIM.

We intend to take our Ex in not too long from now to get all of the little things taken care up and the update will be on the list.

We are having continuous issues with the USB suddenly not being recognized and the AM/FM coming on - requires a Master reset, which requires me to suffer the wrath of wife losing her navigation presets. Does 3.5.1 do anything to deal with these type of issues?
