My 97 ex: LETS GO!

whenever i hit a bump in the road the whole left side stops working. only way to make em turn back on is by turning up the volume all the way. blowing out my eardrums when they decide to start working again.

unfortunately i am thinking of not going through with customizing my explorer any more. and putting more money into it. I just hit 166,000 miles on it and its getting there. I am scared i am gonna do all this stuff to it and then have it crap out on me a little while after. Ive been looking into the 4th gen explorers. 2006-2008. they are really nice. I love the way they look.

ok scratch that.... i am installing a new stereo soon! il post picks when it in!

I love the excelon series. Mine survived 3 trucks and a roll over. The buttons on the unit don't work any more but I still have the remote.

Yea it looks nice. I tried it with my friend. But he kinda messed it up. So I had to get it installed at main st.stereo on sunrise highway. And tht was $100. But I gotta replace it. The cd player broke. Thts $40. And my radiator broke. $560 EXSPENSIVE WEEKEND lol. And im goin to the beach wednesday. Look for mu gf and I if your goin lol. Look for all the sickers on my truck

That a nice explorer just gotta say it though looks like you got rims off a cop car lol had to tell you but with the green it looks good i got a white explorer and still have not figured out what color matches best on the rims. (note to self and anybody who wants to listen don't but another white car paint options limited unless you do a full repaint which may be coming.) How does it handle on the beach? any wheel spin next to when you got in the hole? sorry about having to be pulled out by a Nissan :( that's a insult to Ford's everywhere.

It handles good. I throw it in 4wheel hi and just go. No problems. Or wheel spin. Maybe a lil bit of wheel spin. But not bad. It's deff sad I got pulled out by a nissan. But the guy was nice. It handles well on the beach. as long as i don't floor it. I'm ok.

The important things to remember for beach driving are to air down and keep your momentum. Also, make sure you're not using street tires. The tread pattern doesn't get a good grip. In the same vein, you also don't need crazy mud terrains either, just something with an open tread.

I might make it out Saturday. Gotta replace my other hub bearing on the new Ex.

Air down to 15 and keep. moving. Lol that's all ya need to do

Il be out sat. My friend is gna bring me out there later at night. When you going?

I don't know when I'm gonna go yet I got to get my radius arm bushing replaced since it's about a 250 mile round trip for me would like the a/c fixed to but not a necessary also need a good air pump don't like waiting almost 30 minutes for one tire to pump up.

Il be out sat. My friend is gna bring me out there later at night. When you going?

Depends on how hard I party Friday night. ;) Chilling with a friend and then I might just go for an early beach ride and swim if I'm still awake Saturday morn to wake myself up.

Today all the air pumps were downn. I has to use my mini compressor. Took an hour lol

Got my radio in. Works good. Sounds amazing. And looks amazing. BUT. on my way home from the beach yesterday(after driving on it) my power steering went. then the radio. Then the accelerator. I was on William Floyd heading north right by dowling when I stopped. My dad came and gave me a jump. My gf and I were like Wtf. So I got home. (Barley) and my gf had her dad stop by. He's a mechanic. My altenator was dead. And my gas tank has clog in it from bouncing in the sand. The altenator is fixed. Now gotta get the gas tank done and I can go back on the beach!

At least your battery still holds a charge sometime it wont hold a charge after being run down so low. Yea don't want anything getting in the fuel injectors then you would have to pull them and do a clean and clean all the lines to that would be a terrible way to spend a weekend.

And now a new fuel guage. Even more money. Oh well.

Do you mean the in tank fuel pump? You should be able to cut a hole in the floor and access it that way. Done in an afternoon.
