My New, New 347

I'm abandoning my old thread (My new 347), as the motor has been an epic fail for many reasons.
Against any sane reason, I'm trying again.

Post #1 is a thread with all parts for my own records. I'll keep adding to this as I have the time and know what parts are being used.

Thanks Tim. The tough part is that the car needs to be fairly level, sitting on its tires before they go in. Without a hoist that supports the car on its tires, it would be less than fun. Nothing like welding sparks while your on your back, under the car. 🔥

jack stands under the torque box's, and i would have to believe your garage floor is level. that and ive done a few pairs of frame connectors. if you ever see joe again, ask him what happen when i was welding them into his car.....dumb ass lol

sad day today. in a way i have been putting this off, and at the same time have had a bunch of other projects on the go, but today it happened.

don's truck is no longer powered buy a 347. soon the turbo and supporting mods will be removed and converted to a 4L

i really do hate this.
 






So sad to see it's demise. Maybe seeing it live on in another vehicle will bring back some joy!
 






Yea, I'm hoping so also. I'm actually relived to to hear about the stripped valve cover bolt. In my defense, that bolt is right at the heater box and was an absolute ***** to get at. When the turbo oil return pump quit working, it wasn't pretty. Oil everywhere also. Im not sure if the turbo is hurt from it, no idea. Just way more than I could deal with at -40 degree's. Nice to see that Tim's the right guy to get this stuff. I'm quite happy to play with my mustang in the summer, and have a reliable daily driver now.

but what will totally suck is if you and l line up. you in the stang, me in evil and i beat you in your mustang with your motor in evil!

also i just posted this in evils thread and i might as well do it here. motor appears to be in good shape going off end play.

spent the last few weekends pulling everything out including de moding it, then getting it ready to put a motor that ford didnt even want in it. tonight it breathed for the first time with the 4L sohc.


i hate myself....
