For the record I did win a race-
There was a patchwork El Camino with a radical camshaft being a nuisance right next to me while we were in the staging lanes-
he could barely keep it running -and was dripping transmission fluid. When we did finally get called out-He caught on fire after his burnout-so I had a bye run--lol

I'm planning on going to Mokan Sunday and playing with the shift points, timing and air fuel ratio a bit.
It is already shifting at 5800, carrying well over the 6k mark during WOT shifts. I'm going to mess with the shift points last, only if needed.
Then I'm going to get some exhaust dumps installed upstream of the mufflers in a couple weeks to really open things up a bit.
I will also remove the skid plates, and rear seat. I'd rather haul all the mail, but will shed a few more pounds to hit into the 13's
I cannot afford a turbo. I would like the power, but I'm afraid of what would happen to the off road capability. I already have issues with a heating transmission while climbing high roads.
The speed quest will end for this truck when it breaks the 14 second barrier.
