New to the scene, but not to the game.

I got my custom spacers in today, and got them installed with the new wheels and tires. View attachment 437441It looks much better! Tires are 33x11.5 (temporary until I get the lift, then going to 35s) The spacers are great quality too. As previously mentioned they are custom built from billet aluminum. They are genuine load bearing so no stress on the studs. They are hubcentric and perfectly machined to fit my hub and these wheels. Got them on with the new wheels (17×8 -12 offset) so going from +12mm to -12mm offset gives me rough an inch plus the 1.5in from the spacers I've got 2.5 inches of width on each side. Looks much better and feels more stable.

I am getting some rubbing on the trim of the side steps so those will be coming off next to give the needed clearance.

Looking forward to the lift and the 35s next! View attachment 437442 View attachment 437443 View attachment 437444 View attachment 437445

Thanks man! Not to bad. It's definitely noticeable though. It would work okay for your average daily, but definitely not for a purpose built rig. I'm not going to regear it until after the 35s and new transfer case are on it so I can get an accurate ratio.

Unfortunately I hit a coyote in my C-class the other day so my deductible ate up my fund for the lift. Going to be a bit of a delay on that, but still going to happen for sure.

ah, ok ;)

oh, no! yeah thats unfortunate.

@PoweredByMB She looks pretty! That color really stands out, too. Only seen a handful that color on the roads.

I would recommend going to 4.56's at the tallest, and no shorter than 5.13's unless it's going to be a dedicated crawler. As I am so quick to remind everyone, my 33's on 5.13 gears are not highway-friendly AT ALL. 35's would be a tiny bit better, but not by much. The torque is stinkin' amazing though.

Coyote, RIP. Thank goodness it wasn't some thing bigger than that, or you could have been hurt more than in the pocketbook!

@DintDobbs thanks man! I'm really fond of the color too. I have considered wrapping it to protect it. 5.13 was a consideration. Like I mentioned I have zero intention of this being daily driven. It's going to be a dedicated toy essentially do highway drive driveability is of little concern to me.

Yeah it was fortunate not to be a deer or boar. I live in the middle of absolute nowhere so it was certainly possible. It just hit me at a bad time. Right before Christmas, during a refurnish and remodel of my house. That extra $1k out of pocket hurt lol, but I will recover from it and continue the build. I'm really excited for this build!

Package 1 of 4 just arrived boys! The rest should be here by Friday. After several set backs I finally got it ordered! You know what time it is! Still gotta get the front brakes, rotors, calipers and spring perches for the rear, but hopefully it wont be long now. 😁 Stay tuned, to be continued

Is that an RC kit going in? Looks very familiar...

Did you get the larger rotors yet?

Yes sir it is. It might be a bit before I get it on. I still got a few more things to get first such as the whole front brake setup and rear spring perches for the SOA.

I'd love to see someone else doing it to. Seems like a really good quality kit. What's holding you back?

eh, the regearing, and do i realyyyyyyyy need it for a grand add on regesring etc

@Fix4Dirt The Rough Country is worth the price. The Superlift costs more and gives less lift, and it was worth the price. Between the two, the Rough Country is the better option, if solely because of the one-piece dropped crossmember. But the brake conversion is necessary for the RC, and I didn't want to go that route.

@PoweredByMB The Easter bunny bring that? This build is gonna be fun to watch!

C-class, that's a big RV, correct? Costly coyote! Was he riding a rocket with ACME painted on its side?

The only brake changes I had to make was the larger rotors and longer brake lines.

I like those too, but I wish they made them with dust shields. The ball joints are exposed constantly, they will wear fast; they need seals on them, both top and bottom.

I've got about 15k on mine, lots of offroad in there. Seems to be holding up well. My alignment shop loves them. Says the hold alignment better than about anything they've seen.
No doubt they would last longer with some sort of boot though.
