How about we meet for dinner? I know Gregg will be hungry (I will be too!)

What time is everyone arriving on Thursday? I should be there by 6:00 PM.

We plan on getting there Thursday evening. Exact time could very but should be in range of 6-8 pm, will be ready to start hitting trails Brian mentioned on Friday. I think we should all get together at Campground that evening to inspect veh's and so forth.

There is a restaurant next to the motel (in Ridgway.) I'll be there between 6:30 and 7:00 for breakfast.

The one across the highway next to the gas station has a really, really good breakfast. The hotel does have danishes/toast/juice/coffee but that does get old after 2 or 3 times.

Sorry forgot about that. Maybe the campground and hotel are pretty close? Would be nice to do a meet and greet Thursday evening.

About a 10-15min drive apart.

I should be there around 6 PM thursday as well and if im not send the search party to Last Dollar or Ophir :D

hopefully we can get a convoy with Greg, Jon, and me and be out there thursday evening

HA ha! How does everybody know I am always hungry?

We WILL be back to Ouray NO later than 4 pm on Thursday. We have a rental that HAS to be back on time.

After getting our camping gear in order, & a quick shower, we will be starved for a nice dinner. I don't know if we will have time to go out for dinner though.
I plan on heading to the hot springs pool B/4 it closes.

:salute:

That means a short trail on Thursday in Moab.. Can I ask what you rented in Ouray that has to be returned by 4?

Chad, I am game for full day on thursday in Moab,I was thinking we would head out between 4-6pm? If Gregg's Uncle has to get Jeep back earlier they will have to cut out a little early.

How come they dont rent a jeep in moab? I would suggest leaving maob around 2-3 that way we have plenty of daylight for the drive to ouray. I love colorado and would rather see it in daytime.. But either way is good for me, I am just pumped to go.

O- thats cool, I have not been there, so I agree I do want the drive over to be in the day light, if they have to be back by 4, they will likley cut out at Noon?, we could leave around 2-3, that gives us more time to settle in thursday evening. So we will have basically 2 half days and 1 full day to hit trails in Moab. Which should be fine.

*******Bummer at work all day today**** but after today Off until friday, so I am making myself get Explorer completely done this week. Did drive it out of garage last night, but clutch wasnt disengaging all the way, I think it still needs bled more.

We have had the rental taken care of for a long time, back when we were going to Leadville for the pre-run. The KOA peeps are going to watch Uncle Mikes pick up while we are gone. I didn't want B2 to go out by himself, and we have never been to Moab, so it seemed like the right thing to do. Scott has his dad and his rig, for back up.

So.....if you guys don't want to leave early enough to get back to Ouray by 4 pm, no biggie, we can get ourselves back.

I think we can all leave around Noon, it shows 3hr 10 min drive, if we leave at noon sharp we will make it no problem.

It's really not a big deal. You guys can hang back if you want to. Honest.

With all we have to do when we get to Ouray, I will be glad we got there a little earlier. I will be on vacation, rather it be stress free for the most part.

I hope we can all do a meet & greet at the KOA Thursday night.

I just got back from a 350 mile road trip/test drive. After all the work I've done to the truck, I thought it might be good to run it for some miles before heading to Colorado.

Truck ran great! Even got 19.73 MPG - with a partial load!

Didn't do too much wheeling - I was in low range for a little bit (driving to the shooting range.)

Two weeks to go, and I can't wait! Work is going to be difficult. :(

Only two weeks! :bounce::bounce:

I did my SOA yesterday, it was alot of fun by myself.. I also still have my warrior shackles and it is way to tall. So I need to take the warrior shackles off and get some stock shackles/shorter shackles ASAP. Also discovered my inner axle seal is leaking, so I have to basically take the entire front diff apart and install a new seal:fire:

And still need to drop my transfer case split it and re-seal it. Wish I had some help in my area.

As a newbie to all of you, when gmanpaint asked me about joining for the run in Oray, there was no way I could say no, it just sounds like too much fun trail riding and 4wheeling, I have been hearing a lot of things about this group from gman, (actually all good which is kinda strange). Looking forward to this trip, will get to meet many of you soon. I don't think I am as psyco as some tho.

That's a good thing, right?

This is true, but then again who would want to go on a trip like this with non-psyco people? Looking forward to having a blast!!!

Good thing I did the road trip this weekend - driving to work this morning, I heard a new noise. It sounded like an unhappy wheel bearing.

I went home at lunch, and looked/listened closer - yep, right front wheel bearing is not rolling smoothly.

Guess what I'm doing tonight???

I feel your pain. I also took the rig out for a run last weekend. I am hearing a god awful clanking coming from the front end. I think my upper bushings are toast, plus the pass side UBJ needs replaced. Have to wait for the weekend to work on it though.:(

Welcome to the forum Unclemike! Watch out for this wildman people!..LOL.!!:D
