R15X comes from the VIN. Its the 5th-8th digit.

R - Ranger
15 - 4WD Super Cab 2 door
X - 4.0L 242 CID V6

Whereas my '90 Ranger was a R10A, which is Ranger, 2WD Regular Cab, 2.3L 140 CID I4.

Rear Disc Conversion parts

Picked up parts for a disc brake conversion on the D60 today. They measure a whopping 12.5" diameter with 2 5/16" single piston calipers. The conversion brackets should be here in a couple of days from Ballistic Fab.

Didn't have a tape measure handy, and that was the first thing I could find to give a sense of the size.

Got the D60 ARB ordered today along some new Contura II switches for all the accessories. Should start to have some parts showing up this week.

I check on the status of my new driver's seat and was told it will take about 4 weeks to get built (was told it should take 2 weeks).

Just had my first problem with R15X tonight. Apparently the key in ignition dinger will kill your battery in about 24hours.

I'm split between the 4.88s and 5.13s, but leaning towards 4.88s. I'm kind of holding off until I decide on tires. Right now the tires I want won't fit the wheels I need, and the wheels I've found aren't in the back spacing I think I need.

As soon as I get some measurements of the axle components versus the frame components and get an acceptable backspacing measurement nailed down, I can decide on available wheels and tires and thus gears.

Right now I'm planning on 37s, unless I find a good deal on something a little bigger.

The ARB ones come with the locker/compressor purchase. The other six I got from James at "Over the River and Through the Woods". He's one of 2 people that I've found that sell them with labels printed on them. There are quite a few other companies that sell them, but without any labels.

Yep. Just on the driver's side though. The stock seat is pretty much garbage so I ordered a new that should be done in about another 2-3 weeks.

The switches are:
Winch In/Out - Winch On/Off - Seat Warmer
Front Locker - Compressor - Rear Locker
Nav (Rock) Lights - Fog Lights - Driving Lights
