Might want to see what new axlloy shafts cost vs getting junkyard shafts. Ecology and and pick your part are two main ones that are around.

Just got off the phone with Mastercraft. They are drop shipping the (hopefully) correct brackets.

So does anyone need a set of Mastercraft seat brackets for a '93-02 Ranger regular cab?:D

So, I got tired of this fancy new seat sitting in my living room and decided to make it fit.

Here were the problems. The factory rails are 14" wide with a bolt spacing of 14.75". The Baja RS rails are 14" wide, with the wide bolt spacing of 14.25". I had to space the seat about 3/8" above the rails to clear the rivets and a bracket on the rails.

Its now in, but I think Rick would be more comfortable sitting in it than me.

Tomorrow I get to call MasterCraft, again, to see what the problem is. Whenever the new brackets come in, hopefully it will lower the seat height down to a more acceptable level.

Came home from work the other day and found this sitting on my doorstep.:D

Also got all the link joints ordered.

Sweet. Did you get the seat mounted up? PM coming your way.

Yes & no. I'm currently using the factory rails until the new ones come in.

Ballistic Fab had a 15% off sale this weekend, so I splurged for some bling.

Got my steering and panhard joints in, along with a beefy axle swap kit and a battery box the other day. Just waiting on the joints for the 3 link and some high steer arms to come in.

Truck found a new home for the next few months.

Savannah approves and says people out front hanging in the garage is a good thing.

Anyone see what is wrong in this picture?

To who ever the jackass that pulled the tranny out last time was, Just cause an Impact will fit on the bolt doesn't mean you have to crank them down to 200 lbs. For example 3 of the 5 bolts that held the trans to tcase were so tight we couldn't get them loose with an 18" long ratchet. This was how pretty much everything was put in. Had to use an impact just to get them off. If we could get an impact on it they were way tight. If you couldn't they were about right for the tightness. Not really suprising seeing how they couldn't even put the trans crossmember in right. For that matter they also put the wrong oil in the trans as well.

the hub nut on the F-150 has a 250lb tq setting or something stupid. We tried getting it off with my dads long torque wrench....which is now a pretzel:(

3ft pipe on a bar fixed that:D

Just got in some link joint bling:

...I'll trade you 2 Superlift Radius arms with mounting brackets for them, and a pair of stock arms..:D

Just got back from spending the afternoon at the Pick Your Part. Came back with a new (pre-used) 4.0L auto w/AC radiator, factory external trans cooler and a '93-94 overflow/washer jug.

And while I was there I spied this '92 Explorer Sport:

Yes, that is a 2.9L they swapped in-place of the 4.0L!:eek::wtf:

2.9 in a explorer...WHY!

Well, you know. Economy is down and gas prices are up. Had to swap the gas guzzling 4.0L for the fuel sipping 2.9L.

I didn't know you felt that way Bob. I would have given you the 2.8 we just dropped off at the metal recycler yesterday:p:

If it wasn't for all the damn Cash-4-Clunkers they had there. I could've walked out of there with a Cadillac Northstar and 4l60e.

Just got the passenger knuckle back from Part's Mike tonight. Two freshly rebuilt flat top knuckles:

:thumbsup:So after a good 6 hours of deconstruction and fiddle farting around the D35 is on the floor! :D Also got the flywheel and clutch swapped over to the flexplate and cleaned up the AA TH700-R4 adapter plate.

:thumbdwn:And the for the bad news:

MasterCrap f'd up my seat brackets again.:fire: They finally sent me the right brackets, but it looks like the didn't jig them up correctly as the bolt holes don't line up.

Tomorrow I'll work on getting the RA cross-member (and maybe the driveshaft x-member) ripped out and start the test fitting the TH700-R4 and Atlas II.

Pics to follow tomorrow, provided I don't forget the camera again.

Also got the adapter cleaned & painted up and installed:

Also got the Atlas separated from the TH700 to fix a leak that I had in the adapters. I also clocked it a little flatter, so hopefully it will fit decent.
