Rausch Creek, PA Run, December 6th.

I was just checking the weather and it looks like sunbum's wish might actually come true. There is a 50% chance of a "wintry mix." Mind you this is from the weather channel so there is still a chance they'll change thier minds and say it's going to be sunny and 60. :)

This is the organized club :D. Actually it's this and ExtremeXplorers

I'm going to call Pine Grove's comfort Inn tomorrow and book a room for Doug, myself and Bri (my best bud). Anyone else is more than welcome to share (bring down the cost!!!!)

There will a bit of drinking going on just to warn you guys, but nothing that you have to worry about for your kids' sake, Karol.. I think I have just cause to celebrate after two months of torture :D

Anyone who doesn't know the rest of us yet, there's nothing to worry about, Doug hasn't gotten to the point of table dancing (as far as I know). We all just laugh harder at stupid commercials!

drink ing wo is goung to be be drinking> whjat are yo ralkinga bout?

One more time in english? ;)

So is the consensus the Comfort Inn? I'll try to book by this afternoon... lots going on as usual and I just havent called yet.
I think I'm about a buck ten from the place, and only got a lil grief for spending the night up there instead of driving out early the next morning. heh I'll bring some booz..er... refreshments also. :)

Since Rausch Creek has their own campground, does anyone feel like carrying along a small bbq grill or should we just carry some food & beverages. Well hopefully I'll have my tow hooks in tomorrow and hopefully my CB comes in. If not, I'll just have to go to Radio Shack and buy portable or something.

Looks like i will be doing the maiden voyage on sunday,,,, i am new to the board ,,,always been a ford guy ...lost 225 lbs of weight decided to buy a jeep ,,,built it up ,,,blew it up on the first run at paragon 3 weeks ago,,,got really mad,,put it on ebay sold it for more than i paid for it ,,went back to ford ,,,bought a 1991 explorer,,finished the lift on it this week and i found this board to join and a buddy of mine with a cherokee and myself with the explorer will be at RC on sunday.....hopefully the explorer makes it on the trail further than the jeep did,,,,lol,,,,i am about 20 minutes from RC and 30 from Paragon so wheeling is a way of stress relief for me,,,unless you blow your ride up the first 1/4 mile into the trail,,,although the parking lot was nice at paragon,,,lol,,,

Soo, it looks like the following so far...

JDraper
Spas
ExplorerEB96
Doug
Lefy (maybe)
Sunbum
RonZuki (From Zukiworld board)
Blee1099
jbigguy

Very good chance of snow, so bring stuff accordingly. Karol, looks like you get to figure out your new truck the "sink or swim" methodology (NO bad puns intended, considering the "sink" part :D:D)

well i'll tell you guys

I don't mind the wintery mix stuff.....but if they call for an ice storm I'm out I got to go to work on Monday ... eehh maybe I'll just see if I could just work on Fri instead,.... you know lol just in case we all get stuck in the Comfort Inn for the day...

Karol

ooh it also looks like I'm not puttin the SS on...just leaving my All Terrains on..

I don't think the weather is going to be to bad, I sounds like most of it is going to be pretty light according to the weather channel. They're saying there are gonna be a few snow showers but it doesnt sound like it's much of anything to worry about.

I know what you mean

one station says ice storm another says just a little rain another says some snow.. another says it's going to be a Nor easter' I know what'll happen if I cancel....nothing so I'm not canceling anything!

Karol

Sounds like a plan, Hey since you're not running your super swampers this weekend can i borrow them my tires are getting mighty bald. :p

OK, guess Im not goin then... not a problem.

Chris, the reason you're not listed is because you didn't sign up on RC's signup sheet. Everyone else who is driving is signed up. Gotta sign up to go.....

Booked at the Comfort Inn.
Bring on the weather and good times. :)

As this is my first excursion and may be someone else's, could we post what should be packed (obvious or otherwise) just to ensure we're all equipped properly?

Personally, I tend to overpack but don't want to leave something out either... Thanks in advance.

I still need to arrange to meet a locksmith to free that "bolt" in my hitch as well. I'll try to do that today.

Otherwise, I have:
Spare now tucked away, CB, Shovel, Blanket, Ratchet straps, Tow rope, Multi-tool, Jumper cables, First Aid Kit(with JD), Gloves, Axe and a Tarp with Rope (for any bodies).

Fill in the blanks if you see any, for my and other's benefits. Thanks.

Doug I wish I had room

to put them in the truck somewhere lol with my kids and another possible passenger... I just don't have anywhere to put them... it would be nice since I could always have the option of switching them out once I got there..
