Would anyone mind if I tagged along in my Bronco II? I had to bow out of a trip at the last minute (literally) a couple of weeks ago. I've never run the trail, but I've been wanting to.

How is your Bronco II equipped? Do you have rockers, skids, lockers, 33"+ tires?

Here's the good: 2" suspension lift, 2" body lift, rocker panel guards made from 1/4" steel, skid plate under the tranny and t-case, 4.10 gears, l/s front, welded rear, and 33X9.50 BFG MT's. And the bad: Dana 28 front and 7.5" rear, no winch. But I'd be carrying spare axle shafts and hubs, plus I've got tow hooks in front and a trailer hitch receiver in the back.

Sure, you'll be fine, except I'd bring the title, so we can "abandon in place" if your bronco breaks too much..

You will dragging the frame on a lot of spots, and be tippy in Old Sluice..

A friend just got back from the Rubicon. Last weekend it was 32 degrees in the daytime and less then 20 at night. Bring your long johns boys. He also said it was rough, and Cadillac Hill was real beat up and not as easy as usual.

Bah. If it's going to be crappy weather, I'll just stay with the camper, and do day run into Little Sluice and back, and then again on Sunday.

As for Cadillac Hill, yea, there is a a really rough section. If push comes to shove, we just turn around at Rubicon Springs and head out early. No, your not really missing much after that. Going up Big Sluice is fun!

But I will be there Saturday morning.

Unless I can get these tires balanced somehow, i'm out :thumbdwn:

I've got balancing beads in there right now and they don't seem to work. I also tried taking my tires to a coulple shops around town to get spin balanced but nobody will touch them so i'm screwed.
