Yeah - I ended up with a 1" on the Ranger, but Raised the engine ~1/2" for more clearance from oil pump to steering rack. Regardless, the extra space was good!

i was able to get away with spacing the engine up 1/4" by tucking the custom pan up to the bottom of the oil pump. with gasket in place, i still had about 1/8" clearance between the pan and the oil pump bolt heads.

well, i am going to bring this thread back up one last time. the project is dead. i am not going to return to finish it up. i have just listed the custom stuff for sale in the classified section. i hate killing a project before i see it through, but i just don't have the time and i won't for a long, long time. i now just need to recoup a few bucks and see someone carry on where i left off. i will be happy to be at the ready for technical questions for whomever buys the stuff.
