The Turdle's Exhaust-(yeah revisited again)

When is the install?

I'm getting all the pieces together. I have a lot of other things going on with this truck. It's going to be OOC for about 3-4 days If I get all the correct parts.

While I was laying out stuff I thought I'd grab a picture of this

Jakee's y-pipe, 3" high flow cat, and Hooker Aerochamber muffler-(this thing is VERY nice BTW)

sound good so far? I'll have the rear 02's switched off, but I will be using this single cat-good for 360 Cubic inch engines--

Just doing my part--

That's nice... now where is the other half, LOL?

I'm giving him a hard time because, I know that he really wants it to sound like a Mustang. Get it?

Flowmasters, that is what Mustangs became, the sound of Flowmaster mufflers. I liked them before anyone had them on Mustangs. Then in the 90's everyone stuck Flowmasters on, and it became a sound to avoid for some people.

I hope that that Aerochamber muffler is quiet enough. I do wish that it was larger, like 4x9x20" or so. Regards,

Well I just had a change of plans-

A friend came to the house and ordered a Borla catback exhaust for his LS2 GTO. The exhaust arrived today and I must say it looks sick.
Tomorrow we are installing it.
The good part is, I get all of the stock GTO stuff, which I feel is pretty darn good to begin with. It has about 5k miles on it.

I'm going to ditch my spare and tuck these in there somehow, with the tips going out through a cutout in the lower rear fender valance-

The long straight tubes should work under the Mounty , I'll use the ball flanges also for the header mount, and just have them bend the GTO downpipes to fit.

How about that?

How large are those GTO mufflers? The prices of lots of things have gone up, many Flowmasters are now over $150 each.

Let's see it!

I'll take some pictures while we swap them. It is going to be pretty simple.
Unless you want to see the Borla stuff-he left it in my garage-

The Borla stinger GTO catback was around 950.00

He has Kook's headers and connector tubes on the way. So, I'm also getting the 6.0l cats-

For anyone thinking torque monster headers are steep, I'll let you know the Kook's were 950 bux, plus another 400 for the cat connector tubes--

This stock GTO set up is a solid 400hp exhaust system. I think it will work and sound great on my truck.

Here is the Borla system, which is identical to the stock system in every way-except it has a dual in dual out silencer right after the x pipe--and the borla tips are 4.5" where the stockers are 3.5"

are you guys seeing what I am?

Meh who needs a spare any way? i drove 28 miles a day to school and 28 miles home with out a spare and din't worry a bit. Its all about sweet sounding exhaust and horse power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I've only changed to my spare tire once in about 350,000 miles. I fix any tire leaks on the car in less time than you can change a tire.

Still doesn't rule out a completely flat tire. If air is running out then most likely you've got time to get somewhere to get it fixed. My parents were traveling through a 22 hour drive and were coming through Atlanta when all of the sudden there SUV was getting very loose in the rear end. Sure enough it was a flat tire, if they wouldn't have had a spare they would have had to get towed and would have been stuck in Atlanta for at least twice as long.

While it is very rare just think how hard you'll miss it when you need it.
