yeah i left it in, had a scare thought dog got a hold of it another night, i emailed him, just didnt want him to have to do more work then whats called for, it was my mess up

i cleaned it all put in the new gaskets; not the rubber ones, the better ones. soo i cant get the bolts to tighten down to specs 53lb-70lb, is this going to be a huge problem?! they are tight, hand tight as they will go, will everything be ok? i ended up using all the old bolts but the three i culdnt find, i used the SS bolts

Yea it inch.lbs

i just went by what the haynes manual said, they should be good then, thanks.

I believe it says 50inch lbs.that's way to tight.overtighting is just as bad as not tight enough. If you just did them i would re do them before it compresses the gasket to much.they are not cork correct?

i just used the stock bolt set up to do the tightening

ill look in the haynes manual again, i know when i couldnt get them to what it called for i took them out and just did lil over hand tight, no cork i got the permatex set

All installed, now to the next problem... THANK YOU TURDLE looks great!

yeah i saw that, kinda scarey in the pic... lol try to clean it up when i throw on the headers, that side of the motor bay looks so empty now...

Looks great.agree the alt, power steering and other front brackets need clean and painted.i wonder how hot powder coated stuff is good to?if its good to high temps may want to just get cheap black headers and send them to him to powder coat.some green headers would look sick

i already talked to him about it, said to do ceramic being best option for longevity, i thought about that to, that toxic green would have been bad ass as hell down in there.

Yea it would.they have high temp PC but only comes in three colors, black, silver and bronze. But its only good to 1000* doesn't seem very hot
