awd is fine out there..been on a few runs where we had some awd explorer's and mountaineers

Dude if you're gonna drive that far you might want to consider camping overnight in the park. They do allow it.

i drove from philly to franklin pa to get a 67 mustang convertable for a friend and back,it took 15 hrs,but since you wouldnt be haulin a car trailer and if u drive anything like me on the highway,u can probably make it in about 5hrs,just make sure u have a radar detector

Hey, can you guys do alignments? Like, when I do my front lift, I'm going to be SERIOUSLY out of alignment and am going to need one bad. I'd rather give you guys some moolah for doing it than some random ass shop.

I can ask Jack if he knows how to do it. Otherwise I might be able to get you a ok price from our landlord. He owns a automotive shop.
Edit: He said he may be able to get it close for you so the tires don't tow out but a computer will set it dead on.

Looks like we're going to get a good turnout this weekend! Even if you're not too sure about 4 wheelin in your own truck, still come along, we've got extra seats . Btw: I've got a friend of mine who's going to be comming along in her Jeep WJ (2nd Gen Cherokee) it's a street truck, and we're not sure if she'll actually run it or ride along with me. My buddy bret with the giant ZJ can't make it this weekend, he's putting in his new axles. But he says if we go in June, he's comming deff.

ya if you guys do it again i will have my wrangler tj new clutch by june then i can just bring that. Little tight on money or i would have it done now. But I going to ask wife about it for may. .

smurf...where u located at??and trust me a stock explorer is extremly capable as long as you know who to drive and follow every1 else through the mud holes..and there is always extra seats in someone's truck if you wanted to ride along

i live in bloomingdale, its in north jersey. im seriously considering coming down and hopping in someone elses truck, i might do a little bit of wheelin in mine but i really cant afford to break anything so nothing crazy. im gonna check out how far it is on mapquest and ill get back to you guys

Well we usually go out once a month. If you can't make it this time there's always June. One of us always posts a tread in here with the date we're going. And that way you'll have enough advance notice next time.
Edit: so far the weather is Saturday night...Rain Then early Sunday morning...Rain. John has been keping a eye on the weather for the weekend.
Another edit: You shouldn't do too bad with gas getting up there and back. We have a big v8 in our truck. We're about an hour and a half from Wharton. All in all we use a half a tank to get there, ride around, and get back home.

ok so i decided if by some miracle i get my water pump put in by sunday and somehow get money for gas ill be there. but thats almost impossible so ill probably just go next month.
