I'm the only Explorer representing at the Stallions Ford & Mustang Car Club Show at Hopkins Ford in Elgin, IL.

There's a sea of mustangs and custom cars here and I'm the only one with a modified Family SUV. I love it!!!

Black ovals and LED puddles on order.

You could have parked back a bit to give the store a little exposure.:D Looking good and I hope you have a great trip.

Personally, we did the cargo carrier BEHIND the vehicle (instead of on top).
Carry much more weight, and aerodynamically out of wind (you notice 1-2 mpg on hwy).
CONS: you have to be careful others not backing into you... and not weather proof (unless hauling coolers...).

Doesn't getting in and out / opening and closing the back get tedious though?

You'd need a 'swing away' basket. It came up in another thread a few days ago.

Took us forever to get out of IL. Made it to Lafayette, IN but it took 4 hours. FML.

As for gas mileage, actually pretty damn good. Here's my odometer reading below. Next stop, Nashville where we'll spend the night!

I don't know if this was worth the cost, but it annoyed me that it was all worn down, so I replaced it (I'm holding the old button upside down I just realized). Extremely easy to replace, just pull off the left side trim, you don't even need to remove the handle if you have small hands (I don't, so I removed all the trim).

Finished a full LED lighting conversion and installed an Exide FP-AGM65 battery along with resetting the battery management system and setting the battery type to AGM. Also added a NOCO connector for easy battery charging or maintenance.

Might be old news, but I just saw a video of a Setina push bar being installed on a 2016 Explorer and it looks to be a fairly easy DIY.
Push bar, plus running boards are on my to do list next year.
